Re: Com port
I have had no issues with my Virtual Serial Port Driver, which defaults to COM port 3, and I haven't touched it since set up.

Re: High wind and graphs not the same???
All the station data, including wind gusts, downloaded by Cumulus is recorded, stored, and displayed accurately, in the various record files, etc. Also, it sends this accurate data to the net, including today's peak (maximum) gust. It is only the graph display that does not replicate this, at least ...

Re: High wind and graphs not the same???
Whichever "settings are chosen", Cumulus still appears to send 'peak gust' data to the net--PWS, WU, CWOP, AWEKAS all recorded my highest gust today, whereas the graph did not. The only stations that didn't, were those accessing the realtime.txt file So is the issue resolved by simply unti...

Re: Hurricane Katia might get to the UK on Monday
Cumulus correctly displays and records wind speeds and gusts and sends that data to the net. However, my graphs page does not seem to be "sampling data every 10 minutes," for wind speeds and gusts are much lower than actual. For example, 32 mph today at 12:15, but graph displays a peak gus...

Re: Hurricane Katia might get to the UK on Monday
Highest gust here of 32 mph, at midday. That's not bad, as my wind readings from the SW suffer, due to trees.

Re: Windfinder.com
Perhaps CWOP may be unique in making data and e-mail addresses available to all and sundry.
Windfinder.com has been polite and helpful to me, offering to include a link to my site and also to post my banner.

Re: Data File
Sending data OK, now, to Windfinder--not a bad site, if you're into wind.
Shame about the ads--on WU, I pay a few $; and there are no ads either, on PWS.

Re: Data File
Sure, Cumulus supports WU, PWS, Awekas, CWOP, WB etc, and I send my data there--I have no problem uploading, and everything works like clockwork. MetServ takes data from my /realtime.text file and displays that, but Winfinder.com seems to have difficulty with this. It asks that I put a data file, pr...

Re: Data File
Ticking "FTP rename" sends my website offline, and I won't touch that again.
So, is /realtime.text the file from which other parties (weather websites) can obtain data on current conditions, etc.

Re: Data File
Beteljuice, thanks.
Therefore, should I tick, "FTP rename" in the the internet configuration?
I wish to send my data to a weather website.
