Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.
Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024
(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)
Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024
Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Re: Need website advice for Cumulus for absolute beginner
Hey Ray, A free web hosting is worth no more than what you paid for it and often less. I had a professional web site designer build my business' site and she recommended buying my domain name from Network Solutions. They are far from the cheapest but I am quite satisfied. I have heard too many horro...

Re: Cumulus on PWS
Beteljuice & Steve, Success at last! I think I have what I wanted. The link was helpful but it just came down to try it here or there. Made a backup CYA copy then just started adding my cuts in and moving them around. Did have to insert in various locations to get results. As far as "target...

Re: Cumulus on PWS
Steve,
Again, thanks! I must have mistyped or else I had a local gremlin because its working now. Now all I need is to put my top banner to the page. I guess I'll just need to experiment.

Re: Cumulus on PWS
Yeah Steve,
When I put that code in , in an attempt to open Realtime in a new window, it failed to execute so I changed it to open in same window. And that works. If it does look right, I'll try again. It wouldn't be the first time in this exercise I've mistyped.

Re: Cumulus on PWS
Hello Beteljuice, Well, with your and Steve's help, I have gotten a long way with the integration of Cumulus into my web site. I have the standard Cumulus added and am comfortable that any needed adjustments can be handled. For what its worth, my site is http://smlweather.com/. The Cumulus section c...

Re: Cumulus on PWS
Steve,
Thanks again. I'll try to leave you alone for a while. I had "dbimages" as a sub-folder to "images" rather than a sub-folder to "cumulus". Again, thanks for your patience.

Re: Cumulus on PWS
Steve, Thanks so much for sticking with me. The required directory was htdocs/cumulus which I found with your helpful hints. There are 2 more steps I will probably need suggestions on. When I drill down to GAUGES, I only get the bottom 5 wind gauges. The top 11 gauges are boxed with descriptions but...

Re: Cumulus on PWS
beteljuice, Thanks for your continued interest. To try to answer some of your questions, my web site is http://smlweather.com. It is primarily the canned VWS site. I have done some modifications. The Cam pages are mostly mine done with Dreamweaver. The History page is a script someone on http://www....

Re: Cumulus on PWS
Steve, Thanks for hopping in. I'm sure the problem is my ignorance! For the "Directory" I have "http://smlweather.com/cumulus". For the "Web Settings", I have ticked "Auto Update" with an interval of 3 minutes, ticked "Enable Realtime" and "Real...

Re: Cumulus on PWS
beteljuice, Thanks for your reply. HTML is not simple to me even if it should be :!: . If I enter "http://smlweather.com/Photos/Boltek_Bubble.gif" in a browser window, I get a picture I stored in the folder "Photos" on my hosting location. It seems to me that I should be able to ...

Cumulus on PWS
Hello, I have a Personal Web Site that I would like to add the standard Cumulus Weather page as a sub-page to. I would also like to add the Cumulus Real Time display as a page that can also be reached from my base page rather than drilling down thru Cumulus. I have added a folder named "Cumulus...

Transfer Cumulus Data to New Computer?
I apologize for asking a question that I'm sure has been covered but I seem to be Search Engine Challenged. I would like to transfer my Cumulus program/data from one computer to another. With the help of VirtualVP and a network, I am running Cumulus on both the old and the new computer at the presen...

Re: Datalogger workings?
Steve, So, the information from the ISS passes through the Datalogger to the console then onto the computer if it is on. The Datalogger takes a snapshot of that data stream at whatever interval the Owner sets? The console uses the data that is arriving continously and may easily store data for high/...

Datalogger workings?
Steve, This is in no way a complaint or suggestion to change Cumulus, but merely a request for information. I run a Davis VP2 wireless on a dedicated weather computer running StartWatch, VirtualVP, VPLive, WeatherLink, and Virtual Weather Station. On a remote computer, connected over a wireless LAN ...
