Monthly log file - problem uploading

I want to automatically upload the monthly log file to my mySQL database but because I don't have a fixed IP address. I am trying to FTP it with a PHP program that also works out the file name from the date. I have a Raspberry PI with CumulusMX running on an SSD that is formatted as ntfs. I can not ...

Re: My Pi3 Experiment

Mark
Thanks for the info on booting from an SSD, I'll give it a go next week and finally commit to using the Pi when I get it working.

Re: My Pi3 Experiment

Hi Mark Very interesting to hear about the changes, although your website is already one of the best designed and 'populated' I have seen - well done. I am particularly interested in what you say about booting the Pi from the SSD. Is that easy? I always worry about my Pi card failing, as it has once...

Re: Met Office WOW site - upgraded but many stations missing

Hi Simon
I think you have the answer - the BBC are using blue for leave and yellow (almost orange) for remain for the results show, and the WOW site is doing the same!

Re: Met Office WOW site - upgraded but many stations missing

Ray Very strange - mine and some other local stations are displayed when I zoom into the WOW map. Mine comes up as an orange dot, without having to change any filter, and the readings are up to date. However if I select the Registered site option, several other local sites appear on the map with blu...

Re: UPS for Raspberry PI

Steve Thanks for the information. I really need something that will allow the Pi and therefore CumulusMX to keep going during an outage and not need restarting when the mains are re-connected. We are visiting family in Australia after Christmas and I don't want to miss any data whilst I'm away for a...

Re: Problem with Cumulus.ini ComportName

Thanks Steve. I understand your logic and I now know what I did wrong - I have a very old VGA monitor connected to my PI and the resolution is terrible so when CumulusMX first booted and I tried to view it from the Pi browser I couldn't see the top menu, hence I tried to edit the .ini file. I have n...

UPS for Raspberry PI

Has anyone used a UPS with a Raspberry Pi when running CumulusMX? The only thing I have found is the UPS PIco from PiModules at http://www.pimodulescart.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=17 . This claims to give up to 2 hours of working for a PI and automatically switches back to the mains when that is rest...

Problem with Cumulus.ini ComportName

Steve I took the plunge and installed CumulusMX onto my Raspberry Pi yesterday. Everything went reasonably well and I learnt a lot but there was one thing that I think would help on the instructions given in Cumulus MX Announcements - PLEASE READ THESE FIRST Alternatively, you can unzip Cumulus MX i...

Re: Dayfile.txt upload

Steve Thanks. Dayfile.txt upload

Hi Using Cumulus 1.9.4 build 1094 on my old XP machine I was successfully uploading dayfile.txt using the daily section of the external programs configuration. However I recently moved Cumulus to a Windows 7 machine and the upload is not working. It seems to remove the contents of dayfile.txt and le...

Re: Please donate.

Steve I am very interested in the new version and will use it eventually but for various reasons I am not able to offer to Beta test so I thought that the next best thing (or even better thing?) would be to make a donation. Many thanks for all your hard work. Best wishes for version 3 and a Happy Ne...
