Re: Repair or replace
Hi
I would buy a new anemometer and then if you can manage to glue the old one with super glue (Bostik won’t work) you will need to replace the bearing, the bearings I use are: part number MR105.2Z from simplybearings.co.uk
These anemometers are very difficult to glue and very brittle when old.

Re: New Record? Post here.
Just had another all time low dew point of -24.02°C over night.
Regarding my 10% Rel Humidity I checked the manual and the range is 10% to 99% and since its a cheap unit its not going to be that accurate any way

Re: New Record? Post here.
Mmmm My RH dropped to 10% which matched my all time low back in April 2015, but looking at the trend it appears to be capped at that point for some reason ; the spike removal was set to 10%, coincidence? I did get a new all time low dew point of - 21.1 °C And last month also broke the high wind spee...

Re: New Record? Post here.
A new record for me yesterday, it looks like we got hit by one of those very heavy downpours that are rattling through at the moment;
Highest hourly rainfall of 19.9mm beating last August’s record of 15.6mm, the total for the day was 27mm which is quite a lot for this area but not a record.

Re: Lost sensor contact error
I had a problem with hundreds of small flies living in my anemometer it was a right mess when I opened it up but after I cleaned it out it was OK. To open the transmitter is a bit tricky as the two halves are glued but it is possible with careful use of a Stanley knife, once open you can check and c...

Re: A new look
Mark I like your new look site and can only reiterate every one else’s positive comments it also works very well on my Nexus 7 and Galaxy S3. I think studebaker’s problem with FF 27is that the zoom level is too high; just needs to press ctrl + zero to reset to 100%. Edit I think I may be wrong there...

Re: Poor old WH1080
Hi Mike Sorry to hear your woes it’s never good when you have to climb on the roof. When I had a similar setup to you I was quite concerned about the extra weight that the radiation shield added to the arm and mine was located at low level out of the wind. Since you now have to fix it I would get an...

Re: New Record? Post here.
My anemometer recorded a gust of 96.6 mph , continuous of 71 mph, before it expired! Brian I recently bought a new wind direction and anemometer from Maplin if you get both you qualify for free delivery, the build quality not quite as good but work fine. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-replacement...

My all time low was also on the 23rd at 966.2 so I could be up for a new record too, shame my site is still down due to line fault
