Sending data to WOW
Are there any tricks to sending data to UKMO WOW? I've registered my site and received a multi-digit site number and I've set a 6 digit PIN number. I've entered those into CumulusMX and checked that they are set correctly in cumulusmx.ini. But the data are not being received by WOW. Is there somethi...

Reset records
I've checked out my new weather station and now I'm ready to deploy it.
What's the best way to reset all the records?
I can delete the files in /Data but that seems a bit heavy-handed.
Is there a better way?

Re: Splitting a FO signal
The weather station doesn't passively emit a signal that the computer listens to, it's actively "interrogated" by the computer. Sharing the station (or any other USB device) between two computers would require the computers to cooperate to ensure they didn't both try and talk to it at the...

Re: Splitting a FO signal
Well, I just tried it using a USB hub, but it didn't work.
I lack the electronic knowledge to understand why.

Splitting a FO signal
I'm converting from Cumulus v1.9.4 on an old (and rickety) Win XP m/c to Cumulus MX on an RPi3. What I'd like to do is to run both systems together for a while until I see that the new system works OK, then ditch the old one. To do that, I'd need to split the signal from the FO console. Is that poss...

Is frost rainfall?
Down here in the antipodes we're having frosts just about every morning now and my rain gauge (Fine Offset) registers 0.3 mm as the frost on the gauge thaws. Should this be classified as rainfall or not? Argument for: well it's water vapour that has condensed, then frozen, then thawed so it is rainf...

Re: Website Update
Yes, in the absence of a web update button, changing the updating interval will work.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Website Update
I'm playing around with my website appearance and I'd like to update at other than the regular 15 min interval.
I've looked all over the Cumulus MX web interface but can't find the equivalent of File/Web Update in Cumulus 1.9.
Is there one?
If so, where is it?

Yes, I am using your script jank.jank wrote:Port 9999 sounds a little bit like - he is using an older version of my start|stop script.steve wrote:That comes from the command line that you are using to start Cumulus.
But I thought I'd downloaded the latest one - 2.5.0.0 (2016-02-19)

Re: Unable to access localhost:8998
Have you tried 127.0.0.1:8998? Can you zip/upload the contents of your MXdiags folder? Or failing that post a copy/paste or a screenshot of your console that shows MX starting up? Well I never................... I just opened the mxdiags file and the top line said -port 9999 When I tried that port,...

Unable to access localhost:8998
I've been mucking about with my RPi3 running Jessie and now I can't access localhost:8998
CumulusMX is working fine logging data every 10 min, but I can't access the console any more.
How can I get it back?

Re: Running without outdoor sensors [Solved]
Thank you for the hint Paul
I found the info in:
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... eb_uploads
which says to include NoSensorCheck=1 in the [Station] section of Cumulus.ini.
This has fixed it.

Running without outdoor sensors
Before switching from Cumulus 1 on an old PC running Windows XP to CumulusMX on an RPi3 running Jessie, I want to make sure that my system will continue to work faultlessly as before. So, I'm testing CumulusMX on an RPi3 using Jessie with an old Fine Offset console whose outdoor sensors no longer wo...
