Re: Weather Station Consoles to suit WH1081 Station

Hi Alan, Damn - I had a feeling that that's what I'd hear! There has been the occasional replacement console that's popped up on ebay but nothing recently, so I guess I'll either have to put up with a dusty view or upgrade. The trouble is that my existing station works perfectly well and I even have...

Weather Station Consoles to suit WH1081 Station

For many years I've been running basic Maplin-type weather stations, because as a retired 72 year old guy I've no great desire to buy the best, the most expensive nor the smartest gadgets. These basic weather stations work well enough for me but right now it's my console that's my concern. My consol...

Thanks Steve.

Testing - testing - I'll let you know if the problem continues to exist.

Cheers,
Chris

Start-up Error Messages

Hi Steve, Every morning when I start my PC and Cumulus I get the same error message - that there's an error on line 19437 - List index out of bounds. It always seems to be the same line number and usually it's a time line that's within seconds of my start up but today it's at 10:26:35 - some four ho...

Re: Cumulus Minimum Temperature = 0F

HI Steve, Ah - might have guessed it was something as simple as that! Should really have noticed it - except that it just seemed strange to me that although the overnight data was recorded in various places, it still showed up as a zero on Cumulus. Searching around for a data logger, I found http://...

Cumulus Minimum Temperature = 0F

I have been running a Watson W-8681 Weather Station for years and when it started to misbehave I replaced it with another one. That failed after a month – so I replaced that too.....and that one failed after a week! So I decided to buy an Oregon Scientific WMR88 Weather Station instead which is now ...

Re: Different temperatures on screen and on display

No Steve - I unplugged it. To be honest, the cable they supplied is so short that it only just reaches from a USB port to the console as it is, and if I move the console, it tends to unplug itself anyway. Should get myself a longer USB lead but never have...... I wonder if my high offset was because...

Re: Different temperatures on screen and on display

Hi Steve, Right - I've just installed the latest version! :) Hadn't noticed there was an update.....apologies! I too have scanned through the daily logs and so on to see if I could spot any anomaly and failed. And if I bring up the on-screen select-a-graph temperature record, no jumps or blip...

Different temperatures on screen and on display

Hi Folks, I've been having these little blips recently..... From time to time my Watson W8681 console shows a different temperature to my on-screen (on my computer monitor) display. There can often be several degrees difference - and occasionally my console reading jumps, perhaps by as much as 5C fo...

Wunderground - Failed QC Alert‏

Hi Steve - and others, I've a problem that really is nothing to do with Cumulus, but I wondered if you, or someone out there would know of a fix. This is a quote from a wunderground email today.........."The thermometer sensor on your weather station has reported temperatures that disagree with...

Re: Wunderground Alert - Cumulus not reporting....

Thank you Steve,

Makes sense - I'd got it wrong - I was pretty well thinking that Cumulus was acting as an integral part of the PC rather than a stand-alone program.

I'll keep it running when my PC is connected now.

Kind regards,

Chris

Re: Wunderground Alert - Cumulus not reporting....

Hi Steve, Apologies if I'm not saying the right things! Right.....first thing in the morning, I turn on my PC. My Watson display console is always connected to the PC via it's usb lead and is constantly displaying 'now' weather, but to find, for example, what the overnight minimum temperature was, I...

Wunderground Alert - Cumulus not reporting....

Just recently I decided to go mad and connect up to the wunderground weather network so I could have my Watson weather station online. Everything went fine and soon I was able to see my own display - made me (as an old pensioner ) feel quite proud even if it was a very minor 'thing to do'! :) ...

Re: Pressure Callibration

Thanks for that Steve,

Makes me wonder if perhaps I missed a decimal point or something.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying that -I'll know better next time.

Cheers

Chris
