Rats! I didn't get to it until it was yesterday's rain. I'll have a bigger job. I'll try to do it within Cumulus.
Thanks for your reply Steve. Hope you are settling into Motorhome living well.

How to correct bad data?
My Vantage Vue recorded 20.4 mm of rain the other day. It was not raining but it was windy, so the pressure differential between the top and bottom of the station caused the bucket to tip. I have corrected the data in the Cumulus files and set the total rainfall for the month and year to what they s...

Vue rainfall in windy conditions
I also have wondered if the rain is being properly recorded in windy conditions in my Vantage Vue. I installed a standard plastic rain gauge on a fence post nearby. The two methods agree. I noticed another problem yesterday. In windy conditions (gusting over 50 km/h, F5 to F6), it registered 20.4 mm...

Loss of Graphs settings
Now there is a funny thing. I am adjusting the data file. I discover the extra rainfall (608.4 mm) was subtracted and the total was back to what it should be 25 hours later. The problem occurred at 08:30 to 08:40 on 13/10 and the total was corrected between 10:45 and 11:00 on 14/10. There are anomol...

Loss of Graphs settings
Thanks for your reply. I have checked all the .ini files and restarted Cumulus. The Graphs setting is back to 72 hours - OK. I downloaded the data again for the last day and found 608 mm of rain between 08:30 and 08:40 on 13 Oct (the start of the download). I wonder if it is a console error. Perhaps...

Loss of Graphs settings
Windows 10 v. 1607 updated itself and I restarted the computer on Wednesday evening. Yesterday (Thursday morning) I noticed Cumulus had lost the Graphs time length setting. Instead of 72 hours I was getting about 3 or 4. I changed the configuration setting but it made no difference. I shut Cumulus a...

Windows 10 update problem
After the update, Cumulus will start and immediately pops up the message shown in Steve's post about it - the date format problem. I have reset the date and time formats. The list separator is still a comma. Cumulus does the same thing. I have looked in the diags files from before and after the upda...

Cumulus fails to start after upgrade to Windows 10
Thanks Steve. You were right: the list separator was a semicolon. It is now a comma. I believed I have set the time formats correctly and was still getting the same error. So looking more closely, I see it has changed the AM setting from a.m. to AM, similarly for PM. Fixed that just now and it works...

Cumulus fails to start after upgrade to Windows 10
Thanks very much for your reply Steve.
I have looked at the settings and changed them back, but Cumulus still gives the same error. I'll restart the computer and try again.

Cumulus fails to start after upgrade to Windows 10
I upgraded to Windows 10 this morning. Cumulus started and immediately came up with an error message. The bug report is attached. I have tried several times to start Cumulus but only two messages are in the bug report. The first report says the problem is "exception class : EAccessViolation exc...

failing humity sensor, Vantage Vue
Yep, been there. It is an easy fix if you can persuade a sales agent somewhere to send you the sensor. It is the temperature and humidity sensor. Mine failed at about that age too, from memory. My thread about it is here somewhere. You will need to be a little handy to take the thing apart and chang...

Recommendation for free webspace compatible with Cumulus
I am running with biz.nf at the moment (who are domiciled in Norfolk Island apparently). My free domain and web site is www.spinneyhill.co.nf. There are no adverts and they allow automatic FTP updates. My first attempt at a free host did not allow that so the account was suspended the first time Cum...

Free web site hosting
I have moved my web site because the previous provider "grandfathered" their provision of home pages. They didn't say anything until I asked, after Cumulus gave an error on not being allowed to log in to FTP. Grrrr! I am now at biz.nf - site is www.spinneyhill.co.nf. Yes, the free domain n...

Cumulus main screen height
I had another look at the screen resolution and text size settings. I had it set to "medium". When I set it to "smaller", it now fits. Thank you Steve for your advice.
I just need stronger glasses to see it now!
