Re: Running two Fine Offset stations in close proximity
If these systems are running FM the receiver will pick up the strongest signal, if you could run some say RG6 tv cable outside near the onshore one and put a little stub of bared center cable near the transmitter and a stub near the receiver you could end up with passive antenna, you could do better...

Re: Concentrate on Cumulus 1 or 2?
For me I am happy with Cumulus 1 as it is, I'd be happy for it to be moved into a maintenance status and you concentrate on getting Cumulus 2 up and running. I don't know but I suspect adding features to C1 is going to get harder and the code more difficult to maintain - best to start with the new ...

Re: Fine Offset anemometer repair
I had some silicon based oil in a red can at one time, I used the last of I think before we moved here a few months ago. It was advertised big time on tv at the time I bought it and I used it on all kinds of things and it never let me down, floppy drive rails and everthing, even put it in my car doo...

Thanks Steve for the link, now I understand and won't let it bother me anymore. Charlie I know boots can be a pain and ya they always get wet inside, but was more worried about the grease reacting with the connections. I guess if worse comes to worse I can always find something better if these mess ...
Weird
I have the national geographic 265NC unit here, I am in the basement. My unit sits here hooked to the USB port 98% of the time and yet I noticed that last night 2 out of the 3 AA cells in it had considerable discharge to them. I haven't even had the unit a month yet, well maybe close. Now the reason...
