Re: Want To Feel Great About Using Cumulus?

Bumping this back up. Once Steve has paid his currency conversion charges, tax and national insurance, he still has to buy fuel for his bus https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12449 Please donate so he can have a short trip now and again to have a break from Cumulus development. :u...

Re: Wind Map

Mark thanks for posting this. A great find. And thanks Peter for the velocity scale. I have added it to our site. http://www.lalocherie.com/weather/windmap.php Right, that's enough web development for one weekend. Off to do some sewing, my Great British Sewing Bee pattern matching challenge is calli...

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

Hi Beteljuice, thanks for your kind words. It's green as far as the eye can see here  so the colour scheme seems appropriate ;) And thanks for the top tip. I hadn't even noticed that default option. Have now changed it to permanently default to seasonal. And added it to our gite weather lin...

Re: This day last year page

Hi Anyway, to answer your question, here is a typical example I like from Helens website: http://www.lalocherie.com/weather/todayprevyears.php Glad you like the page. I suspect Helen is using an SQL database made from the contents of dayfile.txt. - Steve is dead right that is exactly what I set up u...

Re: WH3080 Solar readings.

Hi, we are in NW France, so probably have a slightly sunnier clime than you but generally similar. We took the advice in the thread below and have been checking and tweaking to a point where we are happy with the readings now against our observations - they have been as consistent and reasonable as ...

Re: Solar Settings

Hi Colin thanks for this detailed analysis. Like you we want to record data against fixed parameters rather than constantly moving goalposts. And the 3081 will only be good to a certain point. In the end, if our readings are consistently inconsistent that may be our best. Interesting point about the...

Re: Solar Settings

Part of the problem is that the ideal settings will vary depending on your location. I'm getting quite good results with SunThreshold=75 RStransfactor=0.86 SolarMinimum=9 This is with a Davis VP2. Thanks Steve, I asked the same question in my slightly later post which crossed with this. Do you have...

Re: New version of YawCam ver 0.3.7

Hi, I was using YawCam for some time and gave up in the end as I wanted to use the scheduling capabilities and too often, it didn't kick off at start of schedule, leaving a black image. I optimistically came back to it with this release, but I had a nag screen 3 minutes after program start, saying t...

Progress and comparing notes on setting up our WH3081

Hi fellow WH3081'ers, We too have had similar experiences to others in setting up a fully working WH3081. It's been a mission and I am only glad our old 1081 hadn't actually died. We have been able to deal with all the problems and do some parallel running in our own time. Signatrol (our supplier) h...
