Re: I broke Index.htm
Trevor, Thank you, thank you! That was it. CMX is now uploading again to my website. Of limited use without T & H, but because I live at a prime local water-sports site (Seven Mile Beach), my wind data is relied-on by dozens of water-sports people (surfers, sailboarders, etc). I'm cheesed-off ab...

Re: I broke Index.htm
Freddie/Paul, thanks for your overlapping responses from my log file. Logger interval: I had noticed that message every time I restarted CMX (which is rarely, since my PC runs 24/7), but didn't comprehend its significance, and everything seemed to work OK regardless (before the recent hiccup). When ...

Re: I broke Index.htm
Thanks again, Hans.
I assume all the FTP and interval settings are contained in Cumulus.ini? I just did a file-compare with my current copy of that file and an older one backed-up on 1-Sep-2022 (before my website stopped working), and they are identical (size and content).

Re: I broke Index.htm
Thank you Paul for your experiment with my index file, which seems to be correctly updating on your test site. And thanks Hans for your comment about websitedata.json being out-of-date. As to how to fix that, I have no idea. Just to clear away the cobwebs (left since my original installation of Cumu...

I broke Index.htm
Some days ago when I realised my temp/humid sensor was U/S, I edited the Index.htm file to add a note to that effect, and uploaded it to my weather website home page. Since uploading it, the other weather data is no longer being updated! Presumably I've 'broken' the htm file (I'm not familiar with H...

Re: Handling of erroneous data
OK, thanks Mark.
I've just posted a new query on a related topic that I'd appreciate help with.

Handling of erroneous data
I'm currently running Cumulus MX v.3.19.1 build 3194 on Win10Pro64. (I know it's not the latest build, and will update in due course, but having recently migrated to Win10 from Win7, I'm spending most of my computer time battling the brain-dead Win10 to get things working how I want them.) On top of...

Re: NOAA files not uploading to web page
Yes, follow earlier advice and move your Cumulus installation somewhere other than Program Files. OK, thanks for the reply. Since I doubt anyone bothers to look at my on-line NOAA reports, I will leave my installation in the default Windows location (where Cumulus 1 put it, and thus where I upgrade...

Re: NOAA files not uploading to web page
No, the website is still not updating the reports.
Any suggestions?

Re: NOAA files not uploading to web page
Sorry for my late response. I keep forgetting that this forum requires me to 'opt-in' to follow my own posts, rather than 'opt-out' as is common in most good forum software. Thanks for your suggestions. But as the attached screen-shot shows, the NOAA files are being automatically updated in the C:\P...

NOAA files not uploading to web page
Following earlier help from this forum, my CMX (default) web page is largely working correctly. But for some reason the NOAA reports are not being uploaded daily. I've checked and re-checked the paths specified in the Internet and NOAA settings pages, but it's just not happening. A few days ago I up...

Re: How to get web page working after v1 -> MX upgrade?
Security? There are un/pw and all kind of keys for third party sites (e.g. WU) in it. Bad idea. Oh, I should have looked into that file first! :groan: OK, it could be done by creating another small text file with just the NOAA filename format info, and uploading that any time the name format was ch...

Re: How to get web page working after v1 -> MX upgrade?
I used the free utility https://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/ on my old PC because of the wide choice of options it offers, including correcting the created or modified dates, as well as changing names with regular expressions, renumbering, etc. +1 for Bulk Rename Utility. I've used it for many year...

Re: How to get web page working after v1 -> MX upgrade?
Mark, ... However some users have many years worth of data, changing it now means they would have to rename all their existing files. Same goes for other data files CMX uses. Renaming hundreds of data files in a directory is actually very simple, taking but a few minutes to create a batch file that ...
