Re: Degrees symbol encoding
The template file encoding is irrelevant, MX saves the destination file with the encoding specified in the config (from b4019 onwards).

Re: Replacing rain collector issue
Though if the plastic is cold and old, it takes a bit more force than the video implies!

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing
The Highcharts files are not distributed. That is because the original licence terms said you were free to use them for non-profit, but you were not allowed to distribute the source.

Re: CMXv4 Memory usage
It's for all OS.
I have found that last config file gives out of memory errors when you request a lot of data from the select-a-period graphs
Third version will be incoming soon....

Re: CMXv4 Memory usage
Did anyone try the runtime config file I posted above? Any change?
If you could then try this version and let me know what happens - a slight concern that if there is a memory leak then MX will fail with an OOM error much sooner.

Re: Migrating Custom Daily Logs only to V4
There isn't, sorry, you could create a new v4 folder and do the migration of the custom logs there then copy them over to your original v4 install.

Re: Solar eclipse April 8, 2024
I was in Cornwall for the '99 eclipse, on top of a hill that gave views virtually from the channel to the Atlantic, along with hundreds of other people. It was full cloud cover, but just as totality approached a few gaps appeared and we got to see the spectacle, albeit through a bit of very thin clo...

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing
I'd be interested to hear what you think of them once you've had a decent play around. Another option is one of the many wrappers for D3?

Re: un-representable values.
I can see how the error could happen, but at the moment I'm failing to see why it happened! I've added some additional debug logging from the next build in case it recurs.

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing
if we do get a Free personal license and have to renew it, I guess this is only for users with their own website. not sure what the percentage of CMX users run their own website and use highcharts. Personally it maybe an inconvenience to apply for a highchart license but maybe it would be easier th...

Important - Highcharts Licensing
A little while ago I noticed that Highcharts appeared to have changed their licensing terms. When Cumulus started using Highcharts it was free to use for non-commercial applications which includes most of our hobby web sites. I contacted Highcharts about this and after a number of emails back and fo...

Nothing to worry about, it's just you connecting to the Dashboard before the station has finished initialising, it just means the Station Location text will be missing from the page.

Just using bog standard Edge on my phone, there is no option to enable anything like that. I thought all modern browsers preferred https nowadays
Perhaps they have enabled it for all their clients? After all, it costs them nothing other than a bit of setup time.
