Re: The meaning of <#temptrend>

Well, it *is* the current temperature trend for the last 3 hours expressed as a per hour value. The current trend is always going to be the value now compared against some value in the past, the question is how far into the past. MX provides values for 3 hours and 1 hour.

Re: The meaning of <#temptrend>

Thanks, I guess Cumulus used three hours (with 1 hour change value also available) to match the pressure trend then.

Re: The meaning of <#temptrend>

I believe that is the standard way of measuring the temperature trend in meteorology, the same for pressure trend.
Maybe @freddie can share some more information or a link?

Anything shorter than an hour is going to be very erratic and possibly misleading due to short term fluctuations.

Re: EW GW1000 PM2.5 avg 24h webtag

What you want is <#AirQualityAvg[1-4]> which provides the 24 hour AQI.

The tags for both the AQ 1-4 and CO2 are a bit thin at the moment when compared with the AirLink though.

Re: Rain conversion from inches to mm

The rain gauge setting was there in old versions of MX, but you had to set it via the Cumulus.ini file (the same with C1 I think). Newer version expose it via the settings, I've been trying to expose all the settings so people no longer need to edit the .ini file manually.

Re: Rain conversion from inches to mm

The previous two post are both correct. If you configure Cumulus to use mm for rain it assumes you have a metric (0.2mm) rain gauge. If you have an imperial gauge then you have to override that behaviour as @sfw posted. But as Ray posted, if you change the gauge type then that will mess up some entr...

Re: No updates on website, only with FTP-Now command: help?

Ah. So you had an incomplete set of basic sensors. In that case Cumulus does not run the interval processing - unless you disable the Sensor Check in the settings.

Re: CumulusMX on Synology DS218 : Fine Offset station not found

Ah, what about libudev.so.0 ? (sorry I should have asked in my first request).

Then can you find a libudev.so.1 for the Synology?

If not, you *may* (it has worked on some systems) be able to get away with copying libudev.so.0 -> libudev.so.1 in the same folder then retrying Cumulus.

Re: CumulusMX on Synology DS218 : Fine Offset station not found

Searching does not reveal anyone who has managed to get a FineOffset running Synology. :(

Do you have the file libudev.so.1 on your system?

Re: CumulusMX on Synology DS218 : Fine Offset station not found

Sorry guys, but there is no need for any configuration for the FineOffset USB stations. They are HID devices, MX just scans for a HID device with the correct VID:PID and uses that. As you can see from the log it is not seeing any USB HID devices at all - "No USB HID devices found!" So the problem li...

For everyone else I have enough testers onboard now thanks.

Re: File Ownership & Permissions.

When running as a service under Linux, you can edit the cumulusmx.service file to set the user and group the program will run under. The file as provided runs MX as root.

Code: Select all

[Service]
User=root
Group=root

Re: monthly totals update

Not sure I understand the issue though. If you copied your entire /data folder and Cumulus.ini across to the new install you will not have to recreate/edit anything. It will all still be there when you start Cumulus?
