Re: help with slow queries?

I am keeping 14 days of realtime data, but I only use the last 7 days on my graphs. I suggest you reset your retention period to 7 days to cut id down to a manageable size. You also need to look at your full data table, are there lots of duplicate rows for the same date/time? There shouldn't be beca...

Re: help with slow queries?

That's an awful lot of realtime data, do you really need that, and can you really display it all on a graph!?

What is your logging interval? 1.2 million rows would be almost 21 years worth with a 10 minute interval.

How many rows do you have in the data tables?
Mine has roughly...

Re: Weather Underground API .. oops

Will, do, found one bug already.

I'm using the 3hour forecast Datapoint to get the now-ish-cast, and the 5day forecast Datapoint for the lookahead summary.

Re: Weather Underground API .. oops

Right, I've switched my main page from using Weather Underground to UK Met. Office for the 'nowcast' and 5 day forecast summary. I'll have to see how robust it is...

Re: Weather Underground API .. oops

Yes, various country Met Offices offer some APIs for country-specific forecasts -- I was looking for a service that offers world-wide coverage like WU does. I didn't want to have to write a bunch of scripts (one per country).. just lazy, I guess. The UK Met Office DataPoint forecasts do offer world...

Re: Weather Underground API .. oops

The other thing happening is that lots of these cheap weather stations automatically upload to wu and don't offer much else. Two sides to that, they may lose API access to their data completely, the other that most of them are supplying poor quality data anyway and diluting the value of wu.

Re: New Cumulus Home

OK, so that shows the delay is definitely in the server, 15 secs to process that initial request. Rules out routing/network etc.

Re: New Cumulus Home

Maybe someone with issues could show a F12 network trace from their browser. Here is mine (cache disabled) for clicking the "Unread" posts button.

Bulk of the 2.41 secs was the initial search.php at 1.71 secs

Re: Thank you, Steve for 15 years of support

Agreed, thank you Steve, and enjoy your retirement from Cumulus, I sure it consumed almost as much time as the 'real' job! :beers: Cumulus MX is working fine for me, it just chugs away and I'm sure it will continue to do so for many years without being touched. It would be great to see the Wiki host...

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

Odd, latitude and longitude exactly the same in both setups?
Can you compare the theoretical value at the same time, 13:00 should be about the maximum and would show the most difference - are they the same?

Re: Sun on light

Don't you have to configure the comm port as well somewhere? Had that changed for the new BL?
