Re: Raspberry Pi3 B+, Instromet and CuMX

I have a serial attached Davis, and use a USB/Serial adaptor with my Pi. The popular chip-set drivers are already installed in the Linux distro's.

Re: Windy.com now accepting PWS data

Not really. I believe the data from other sources is usually delayed by about 15 minutes, and only updates every 15 minutes, so if that is OK there is no need to submit as a PWS as well.

Re: Possible memory leak

It almost looks as if the network stack has crashed in some way? What is the Main process? Is it a result of the script? I see the Cumulus process as mono which is what is actually running the code. Can't say I seen anything like this, and the longest I have left Cumulus running is about 8 months. I...

Re: Cumulus is creating HTMTMP files

Hi Bill, that's how it works, the "template_file.htm" is processed to "tempate_file.htmtmp" which is then uploaded to your web site.

The Flash gauges (swf) are VERY old, lots of browsers have dropped support for Flash (unless you enable in again yourself), are you sure you were using the SWF gauges?

Re: Trying to run on Linux Mint

Looks like Mono isn't installed properly? Have you installed "mono-complete"?

Re: Windy.com now accepting PWS data

I have a test version of Cumulus MX now running that performs the Windy uploads natively. It can also do catch-up like the WU etc. Is anyone interested in trying it out? If so drop me a PM with your email address. I will not be releasing it just yet, I'll wait and see if the API "matures" in the nea...

Re: Windy.com now accepting PWS data

p.s. My setup is slightly different again in that my wind speed is kph, (so does not display correctly) and pressure in hPa (also incorrect) Metric C/mm/hPa/kph(km/h) Sorry but Windy does not accept km/h wind speeds. Until they either add this option or I add windy as an upload option to Cumulus yo...

Re: Windy.com now accepting PWS data

If you use hPa for pressure then I recommend you remove the &pressure=<#press> section of the URL for now. Windy are going to add a new option to upload hPa values. If you use in inHg for pressure it should work ok.

Re: Daylight Savings

Yes, setting the time on the console is costly in processing power, it will not respond on the serial interface for some time whilst it processes the new time. Setting the time also always resets the reception stats.

Bingo! Unfortunately the current version 3 of MX can only use tags with the user selected logging units. That will change in v4.

Re: Problems with CumulusMX/Instromet

It entirely depends on how much you are asking it to do. If you are just creating some local files then 3 seconds should be easily achievable - switch off any features you do not need/use.

Re: Windy.com now accepting PWS data

I spoke too soon, the temperature and pressure are way out!

Oops, I was sending C as F and hPa as inHg!

Pressure doesn't seem to be working when sending the pressure in hPa :(

There is only one copy of the interface files. Browser caching maybe?
