Re: Running NOAA Reports in MX

Hi Paul, the function I saw of rigenera noaa, what I was asking is the possibility automatically that cumulus mx regenerates the file noaa every 20 minutes automatically and then send it to the ftp site But as I said the file only changes once a day, so why do you want to transfer it every 20 mins,...

Re: Running NOAA Reports in MX

Adding that functionality to MX is on the to-do list. ;) Am I missing something, as my CumulusMX version has a (Re)Generate Report button for Yearly and Monthly so I have generated reports from before I used MX using the \data files copied in from Cumulus1. Enjoy, Paul Doh! I'd forgotten I'd added ...

Re: Running NOAA Reports in MX

Not sure why you would want to create it every 20 minutes as it only contains data up to the previous day?

Cumulus 1 has the ability to recreate the reports, you can install that and use your MX data files with it. Adding that functionality to MX is on the to-do list.

Re: Running NOAA Reports in MX

They are generated once a day at the day rollover. They are FTP'd at the same time (just after midnight for most people).
Surprisingly, you configure this on the Settings|NOAA settings page

Glad its sorted, yes there is nothing the distribution that will overwrite your data or configuration - only if you have customised the default web pages or the admin interface.

    Re: Extra Webfiles Missing

Thanks for the files, I'll take a look over the next day or so. CMX must be starting the process of writing the ini but terminating before it completes for some reason.

    Re: Cumulusutils

Re- locales, there are a number of countries that use ". " as a date separator (mainly in eastern Europe it seems). Cumulus can currently handle these date formats OK I believe. The problem is Mono changing the format for some countries between releases. I'd be very hesitant to put in a global fix o...

    Re: CumulusMX and 1and1 Hosting

OK a couple of things, though the bitvise says you can use any username/password on the FTP program, I don't think using blanks is good idea, put some dummy data in. CumulusMX is trying to connect to localhost using IPv6, is the bitvise client listening on IPv6 or just IPv4? You could try the IPv4 l...

Yes, mainly because there are possibly lots of settings in there that are read-only.

I worked through this with another user, it turned out to be just a stale cache issue. Clear the browser cache and it everything should work OK.

    Re: Extra Webfiles Missing

One caveat with that ini file process - you will lose any settings that are "ini file only" - i.e. are only ever read by Cumulus and never written. Options such as CreateWxnowTx, SpecialLog etc, etc So be careful and check your old file against the new to see if anything has "gone" that you need. Th...
