My station's tweets to Twitter have stopped completely

I realise that there has been a problem with sending tweets from within the Cumulus program for some time (due I believe to some changes enforced by Twitter), but nevertheless it still managed to send a few each day. However, I have just looked back and can see that no tweets have been sent since 29...

Re: Maplin in administration - where to buy spare parts now?

I don't know whether anyone has highlighted this elsewhere, but those Maplin stores who still have stock of the N96GY are now selling them off at £48, and you can grab a spare anemometer for £1.00. It appears you can't order online, but you can check stock in your local stores here: https://www.mapl...

Many thanks to you both. I've carried out both your suggestions, and the station is now working as I want it.

Too much data - I'm confused!

This is probably something I should be able to sort out for myself, so apologies in advance. I have a Maplin N96GY (WH-1081). Until recently records would be added to the monthly log file (e.g.Feb18log.txt) every 10 minutes while Cumulus was running and every half an hour for periods when it wasn't....

Re: Cumulus recording false zero temperature

Thanks for getting back Steve, and apologies for not thinking of reading readme.txt first. It's set to 10 minutes.

I'll try to ensure that I leave more than that between shutdown and midnight, and if if it still happens I'll report back.

Cumulus recording false zero temperature

I've had this problem occasionally in the past, but recently it has been happening frequently as the graph shows. Every couple of days the minimum temperature for the first reading after midnight is recorded as zero. I wonder whether it has anything to do with the fact that I normally shut Cumulus (...

I'm sure Orkney is very lovely, but I really think that amount of wetness would be too depressing for me.

Re: Longest wet/dry periods

Thanks Steve (and PaulMy).

My new record is 19 consecutive wet days. Just out of interest can anyone beat this since August 2011? Perhaps I should limit this to the UK as I'm sure there must be other parts of the world where 19 days is considered normal.

Longest wet/dry periods

At midnight tonight Cumulus will set a new record for the longest period of consecutive wet days.

I've been using Cumulus since January 2009, and I'm pretty sure this particular statistic didn't become available for some time after that. Can anyone tell me roughly when it was introduced?

Cumulus hangs on Startup

I've looked at other threads with similar subjects, but didn't come across my situation; however apologies if I've missed something obvious. Cumulus has worked with no problems for many months. I start it manually each day when I turn my PC on. However, today the "Downloading data Please Wait&q...

Re: Rain Bucket Modification - Fine Offset WH1081

I've finally got round to trying this modification myself, as I have a spare rain gauge. Before I set it up permanently, can I clarify something? The top and bottom of the cover don't have the same catchment area. According to my calculations (which ignore the fact that the corners are rounded) the ...
