Re: realtime interval issue
It was surprisingly simple and quick to implement :) Could you please explain or share some code ? Thanks Firstly, using htaccess mod_rewrite, realtime.txt is mapped to realtime.php. In this file all I do is read in the live data as an array, and perform some quick tidying up of the pressure trend ...

Re: realtime interval issue
The answer to your original question is almost certainly as in the post Duke linked to. Your assertion that they are being uploaded every 5 seconds but only updated every 10 seconds is noted. However, I can't think of any way that could happen. Perhaps the contents are being updated but not the tim...

Re: realtime interval issue
Yes, I was thinking of going down that route.mcrossley wrote:A more efficent method would be to only upload your PHP tags file, and redirect realtime.txt to a PHP script that simulates it from the tags?
Might not be able to replicate realtime.txt perfectly but it should be good enough

Re: realtime interval issue
The uploads look just fine, every 5 seconds. But the files themselves are only be updated by Cumulus every 10 seconds

realtime interval issue
Hi, I have recently launched a new weather site that updates key data values every 5 seconds. In my cumulus settings, I upload one file to the server, a custom live-tags.php file. It gets processed and uploaded every 5 seconds. The problem arises when I try to include realtime.txt in the uploads as ...

Re: Close when data stops
Hi Steve. Cumulus restarted overnight when the connection was lost as it was meant to. Got stuck on error -32701 when it did though.
At least it didn't log any bad numbers though

Re: Close when data stops
I haven't tried because I assumed it would keep logging and/or uploading. I'll enable the restart option and let you know the outcome if the problem happens again.
Thanks
Thanks

Close when data stops
Hi, is there any way for cumulus to close itself down when it detects that data input has stopped? I know there is a restart option, but that won't help my situation. Occasionally I get a problem where the information stops coming through the USB port, in which case a restart will not solve the issu...

Re: Unchanged for... How long?
I had a period of 3 hours on 3 Aug 2010 where the temp and dewpoint stayed constant... it was a very moist day with the lowest humidity 97%.
It is rather unusual to have absolutely no change though.

I wouldn't discount that possibility... I hear they are having a rather lousy summer down in southern NZ!AllyCat wrote:We can probably discount frozen rain in Dunedin (NZ?) in the summer.

Wow, that's a long run of unsettled weather. I see you also had rain on the 17th and today, making it 42 days now. What is the total rain over this period?William Grimsley wrote:Newton Poppleford Weather All Time Records Longest Wet Period: 40 days to 16/01/2014

Done - your banner.php is now showing and so is David's which was also hiddenRayProudfoot wrote: Assuming mine is still blocked for you perhaps you could change AdBlocker to not block sandaysoft.com.
I use it on other forums too but I can see it. Haven't asked others if they can see it though.

Mine was blocked from several forums I use and renaming it made it visible on all of themRayProudfoot wrote: Are you sure about the dislike of the word banner? All I did was change the Adblocker Plus setting for sandaysoft.com and it was fine after that.

Re: Graph Idea
Most/all of them supply relative humidity, from which the dew point temperature is/can be calculated. Does a graph of dew point depression (difference between dp and temp) not look very similar to an inverted relative humidity graph? High DPD implies low RH, and vice versa. Yep it does, although th...

Re: Trend Value Calculations
Mark, what exactly are you trying to calculate? I can't imagine a low order polynomial would fit temperature data well except on days with a steady rise or decline.
I just use the temperature difference between now and 1 hour ago as the temp trend value on my website.
