Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.

Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024

(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)

Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024

Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Re: Dry Spell

We've had a big drought in northern NZ this year too

I've recorded 60mm this year, 94mm in the last 4 months. That's pretty incredible when our annual average is 1200mm!

Re: Today.ini reset after reinstalling weatherlink

Thanks Steve. It didn't cross my mind that the software thinks VVP is the console, but of course it makes perfect sense. I did the install just after I had just finished studying an advanced time series text for an assignment I have to do, so there's a good chance my brain was starting to switch off...

Re: Today.ini reset after reinstalling weatherlink

When I put the WeatherLink CD in the computer it said that in order to install I had to disconnect the console from the computer (hence why I closed Cumulus).
Here is the zip - I only put one file in there as this is the one of interest. Line 141 is where it does day reset
Thank you for your time

Today.ini reset after reinstalling weatherlink

Hi Steve I have recently had a new install of Windows 7 64-bit on my computer, and only got around to installing Weatherlink yesterday. First I closed Cumulus/WD and disconnected the console as the software initially requested. Then during the installation process Weatherlink cleared all the data of...

Re: Can you check my site

OK query/anomaly on your live data page. The page - when entered - states 'Updates paused.' and provides a Resume Updates (which, from the way the page is shown, appears to be the default state ie you can't have the page 'stay live' by itself. But, what is disconcerting, if you press 'Resume Update...

Re: Can you check my site

Axis doesn't show the start and end time points - first time point for Melb is 21:00 and last point shown is 18:00. Pop ups/floy outs on graphs though now show 20:00 as start and end points - just the axis that is missing times. Hi, that is what should show for everyone. This is the way the graphs ...

Fixed now. As for the graphs, I will assume the timestamps are showing OK now unless someone else posts otherwise ;)

Re: Can you check my site

Alright I have tried to fix things, does it display 20:00 as the last point now?

Re: Can you check my site

Thanks. The time it's giving you is 12 hrs behind what it should say. Similarly you are 12 hrs behind the NZ timezone. If others have similar results I'll know what to do to fix it...

Can you check my site

Hi, can you guys check this page http://howickweather.info/graphs_.php I need to know if the times on the graphs are correct for timezones different than the NZ timezone. The last point should say 20:00, as should the first point. Note this is a static test page, and not the updating graphs page. Th...

Re: Fast drop in humidity - repetitive timing...

I would have said it might be dry air aloft temporarily mixing down into the lower levels of the atmosphere, but the wind speeds seem rather low for this to occur. Is your station sensor shaded part of the morning and comes into the sunlight around this time of the day when the humidity drop occurred?

I have done 3rd year statistics at university including multivariate analysis. What did you have in mind? I use R software by the way.

Re: A warm and wet 2011 for my station - How was yours?

I've only had mine running since Dec 2009. 2011 has been wetter than 2010 here (1401 mm this year, last year 1182mm). The average temperature has been roughly the same (around 15.2°C)
