Re: Configuring MySQL on CumulusMX and Remote Server Host

The user was created by the hosting company. From within my control panel options on the server I attempted to create a second database to see if I got more options during this process, sadly not. When setting up the database, it requires me to have the leading name of "palm_" before my da...

Re: Configuring MySQL on CumulusMX and Remote Server Host

Hi Mark

No, it looks as if not. Only user listed is "palmyweather@localhost".

That said, I cannot find a specific "User Accounts" option under the home button at the top of screen under "phpMyAdmin" logo.

Configuring MySQL on CumulusMX and Remote Server Host

Hi everyone Just wondering if could get some pointers on configuring CumulusMX MySQL to talk to my remote server host? The error I get is: " Error: Connect Timeout expired. " which comes up about 5 seconds after trying to create or update the database. Sadly I have never been able to get t...

Alarm Latches - Less than 1 hour

Sorry if this has been posted in the wrong section or already discussed somewhere else however I cannot find any reference at this time. Is it possible for the alarm latches to be set to less than 1 hour? I have tried setting some alarm latches to 0.5 (for a 30 min alarm) and 0.25 (for a 15 min alar...

Re: **NEW** Cumulus Weather Topsites 2013 - Please Join.

Just wondering, is there a more up-to-date version of the banner php script? Currently I am using "Version: 3.0 - October 19th, 2008" by "Kevin W. Reed <programs@tnet.com> TNET Services, Inc." I can view the banner directly in all web browsers, but it does not load on the cumulus...

Re: **NEW** Cumulus Weather Topsites 2013 - Please Join.

I guess I was just lucky when I signed up to https://cumulussites.net/ on 24 May, and now I'm on the top of the list with no competition (jokes) :P . I received a nearly instant reply welcoming me and providing the URL to add to the website. However I may have timed my registration during a testing ...

Yep, backups were lost too. A number of New Zealand weather websites were affected by the same provider sadly. I have learned to not be reliant on your web host provider providing a backup service. Thankfully for me I did a full backup and download to my local PC back in January 2023, but have lost ...

All set-up and up to date :P

I must say, now that I know how to use it, the display options function is very cool and helps keep things much tidier. Thank you to all the contributes who continue to make this program grow strength to strength.

Re: Loss of webtags - <#leaftemp[1-4]> - From Release 3.24.0, build 3231

Thank you Freddie

I will do a little bit of tweaking on my end. I can see by working with "<#SoilTemp3>" and "<#SoilTemp4>" I get the same data as I once did for the "<#leaftemp[1-4]>" tags.

Thank you for your help,
- Matt

Loss of webtags - <#leaftemp[1-4]> - From Release 3.24.0, build 3231

Hi everyone On and off through March 2023 I have been trying to update my current running version of CumulusMX (v3.23.1 b3221) to the latest build but noticed a few issues when I made the upgrade so rolled things back until I found some time to properly investigate. My initial problem has been resol...

Re: Rolling Weekly Data - Displaying data on website

Yes, you are welcome to use it. It may need some modification depending on your needs and how individual databases are set-up. Hope it will work for most without people needing to change too much. RE: LowDewPint needs to be amended to LowDewPoint . Good spotting. You'd think the word "point&quo...

Re: Rolling Weekly Data - Displaying data on website

Well I am pleased to report in just under one week I have managed to achieve what I set out to do, thanks to you guys help and ideas. I'm not much of a programmer, but I was able to pull data from the database I already had set up and was able to put it into a table for display with support of cumul...

Re: Rolling Weekly Data - Displaying data on website

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Yes, I do have an SQL database which logs the data daily - temporarily forgot a database would be a much better approach to extracting the data, especially as it is already sitting there with little use. The mentioned Weekly Weather report from Wairoa (http://wairo...

Rolling Weekly Data - Displaying data on website

Hi everyone One of my website users has asked if I could display a rolling weekly data set which will show the minimum and maximum of various measurements like temperature, wind, rain etc. For example if today if Friday, the report would show data for today and the past days to Friday last week. The...

Re: Password Protect settings pages

I had been thinking of asking a similar question about password protecting the settings tab. Cumulus MX has potential to be used across a local network and could be accessed by many people, some of whom you would not want to have access to the settings screen. EG: Mum, Dad and the kids could all che...
