Re: Password Protect settings pages

I had been thinking of asking a similar question about password protecting the settings tab. Cumulus MX has potential to be used across a local network and could be accessed by many people, some of whom you would not want to have access to the settings screen. EG: Mum, Dad and the kids could all che...

Re: I'll show you mine........(interface)

I did a small amount of tweaking on my Cumulus MX display as well. Although still using the white text on black background (which looks very smart), adding a background image has made the look feel brighter. Adding a transparent alpha channel to the dash board ('dash-unit' within the file main.css) ...

Re: Cumulus MX (Cumulus 3) beta test

Hi Steve

I would be interested in testing Cumulus Mx beta on a PCDuino V3.0 running Ubuntu Linux which my work has started selling which is similar to a Raspberry Pi with a Fine Offset WS3083. Spesification details.

Regards,
Matt

Re: Auto-refresh Website Index Page Without Using Meta Refre

Hi all It has been a while since this topic has been used but I hope someone can help out. I have been using a modified version of this script, the one which Mark (mcrossley) mentioned on September 03, 2011, which until now has been working great. But for some reason it has stopped working with out ...

Re: Does anybody know this station?

Apparently if your unit comes with a MicroUSB socket, it is only for firmware update of the unit and nothing more.

Re: Does anybody know this station?

My work has recently started selling this model of weather station without the Wi-Fi connectivity (model HP1003). When I originally saw the product it was sent to our purchasing department with a Micro USB outlet, but the stock that hit the shelves never came with this. I was lucky enough to open on...

Re: Changes To Weather Underground Temperatures

Also a big thank you as I had the same issues which thankfully I have now fixed.

One questions I do have is why does the degrees symbol no longer show beside the temperature and in-line with the forecast text? Years ago it use to until I think it was the 2012 update.

Re: 15 meter USB

I have been using a 20m USB extension lead, with built-in signal boosters, which has (surprisingly) lasted two harsh New Zealand summers which lays across a tin/iron roof. I thought I would be replacing it every year but it is doing well. http://palmyweather.co.nz/webcams.php

Re: Highcharts Graphs

Wow, that was really simple to set up. For anyone else who may be interested, it was just a matter of adding zoomType: 'x' to the chart parameter within the .js file.

Code: Select all

  chart: {
                renderTo: 'container',
                zoomType: 'x'
},
Thank you for the link on how to do this.

Re: Highcharts Graphs

After playing around with the HighChart concept for a few weeks now, something I feel that is missing is the ability to be able to select an area of chart and zoom in on it (using a mouse click). Does anyone know if this is possible to implement? I feel this would finish the concept off very well. E...

Re: Rain Bucket Modification - Fine Offset WH1081

I don't think any calibration would need to be conducted as it is the same catchment area surface, however it is just deeper, preventing any splash out. The only issue I may have is with snow, however it only ever snows here once every 80 years. What do other people think, would it need any other ca...

Rain Bucket Modification - Fine Offset WH1081

It has possibly been well documented that the Fine Offset WH1081 and similar have a very shallow rain bucket. Around this time last year I modified the cover of my station to have larger sides using an ice cream plastic container. This worked well however the harsh New Zealand summer sun has taken i...

Re: Toolbox suggestions

Is there any way that "ToolBox" can send out a daily report of the temperature, rain fall, wind speed etc all in one message? This would be great to have an email that hits my inbox (or other's) that gives a nice overview and well formated of what's going on that day.
