Re: Upgraded to W11 PC / Startwatch and Virtual VP

I wasn't sure where to post this, to be honest. As it is hardware specific, i felt the most appropriate place to put it is here, however if a n admin wants to move it, that's fine 🙂

Upgraded to W11 PC / Startwatch and Virtual VP

Hi all, I thought I would post this as it may be of interest/help to others. Reading other posts, I know others are a bit concerned as to how the constituent parts would run on newer machines, particularly Startwatch and Virtual VP, and being able to re-register the latter, given that they are now a...

Re: Weatherlink .WLK file issues.

It was very useful - thanks ever so much for that..

Think I have a reasonable chance of fixing my daya for MX purposes, at least.

Weatherlink .WLK file issues.

A couple of years ago (March 2021), I had a wierd issue with Weatherlink which has caused it to not be able to read the .wlk files any more, the first symptom was opening up WL and it would generate an error "Cannot oipen station". So I set up a "new" station and tried to import ...

Re: 2nd Anemometer Failing

Been having wind issues here in recent weeks. Bit of a long story, but here goes. VP2, bought in 2009, the current anemometer predates that (WM II) - but ran it into the ISS, all fine. Runs into the ISS via a 15m extension cable which I partly hard-wired in. Back in May, I started randomly recording...

Re: Cumulus MX and Cumulus 1 data

By "Browse the data", I mean in the CumulusMX web interface. Yes I had copied cumulus.ini across as well. sfws: I had the start date down as 27-03-1996, as that is the date that shows up on the Records page, as the start of my records, but thats when I started my station using Weatherlink....

Cumulus MX and Cumulus 1 data

Hello all, Currently running Cumulus 1 on my main Weather PC to run my website... alongside Weatherlink and VirtualVP. Downloaded Cumulus MX, and testing it on another machine, connected successfully via network to Virtual VP. I copied all the data from Cumulus 1 across, and it's there when I browse...

Re: Cumulus Banner Collection

Banners have been updated this morning, many thanks to Jenny !! How do I get my banner looking like that, Paul? I guess changing mine would entail learning how to write PHP. I just about managed to edit mine to show the right place name..... I am looking to add extra information (max/min/tre...

Re: VirtualVP / Windows 8.1 issue

Problem solved.

I had an older version (2.2), but was sure that was the latest available.

Not so! Downloaded the latest and all is well.

Re: VirtualVP / Windows 8.1 issue

Thanks Steve - I will have a look at that (firmware version, diagnostics etc) when I get home. The current PC that it's running on is Vista, often crashes and BSODs but then it's always done that running VVP, Cumulus and Weatherlink, but while it's running, it's fine. The problem happens when I run ...

VirtualVP / Windows 8.1 issue

Trying to move my station onto a new Windows 8.1 64 bit PC. Have installed a 64 bit driver for the CP210x USB<>Serial driver and Weatherlink sees this and works fine, and Device Manager shows it as well (COM3.) So I install and fire up my registered copy of Virtual VP and connect, which it appears t...

Re: Removing temperature lines

Excellent, thanks. Just one more thing.. How easy would it be to enable the "inside humidity" to be removed from the humidity graph? Would prefer it if it wasn't on the web page version! When on holiday, it was clear there was no-one home as the inside humidity didnt fall at the normal tim...

Thanks Steve.

Will this also carry over to the graphs uploaded to the web?
