Re: Outdoor Temperature in System Tray Icon
Another WD feature added to the enhancement list, kind of ironic in light of that other thread don't ya think?

Re: Polish months
My Win 7 has the correct spelling, so I don't think this problem is coming from Windows.

Re: Interfacing (high-end) homebuild weather station
I think Weather-Display software takes NMEA data.

Re: Humidity Settings
The other method (expensive but the only real way to calibrate the sensor) is to have it laboratory calibrated. You can actually calibrate the sensor inexpensively at home if you are up for a little science experiment. The humidity of the air in a closed container holding a saturated salt solution ...

The blue part is a trimmer capacitor. http://web.tradekorea.com/upload_file/prod/marketing/mkt_files/company/o/op00000596/img/oimg_CA00196069.jpg The L copper track forms an inductance. It doesn't have much inductance but this is operating at a very high frequency and it doesn't take much inductance...

Re: TEST DRIVE : Complete Website Template for v.1.9.2
Looks very nice, good work. I would respectfully suggest that you include a summary of the basic current conditions, temp, wind, rain, or at the least the current temperature, at the top of the page. I think users want instant gratification when they visit a website, and scrolling down (don't forget...

Copper + Aluminum is a bad combination for electrolytic corrosion, it'll be fine in the dry, but probably not suitable for permanent outdoor installation in the UK.

Check out the .php scripts/templates on Ken True's excellent site http://saratoga-weather.org/wxtemplates/index.php There is now a cumulus version.

Re: Extra Sensors
OK, good luck with the 1 or 2 decision. I see Ambient is now promoting Cumulus so hopefully that helps with the donation issue.

Extra Sensors
I see that adding data from the VP extra sensors has been on the enhancement list for a while. I have a 6345 Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature station (but only using the temp channels) so this is a roadblock to me using Cumulus. I understand this is probably not easy to do but is there any plan ...

If you have solar WD stores that data in a separate log, mmyyyyvantagelog.txt.

Re: Touch Screen - replaced by switches
So you know the last record because the data doesn't wraparound like the VP? This statement "The memory simply reuses the oldest locations when full and the oldest data is overwritten" made it sound like it does wraparound, hence my confusion.

Re: Touch Screen - replaced by switches
Interesting, I'm a Davis user, I don't understand how you can figure out the correct time for the stored records unless they are time stamped.

Re: Touch Screen - replaced by switches
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the data Cumulus stores uses Cumulus time ie. computer time. I'm not at my XP PC running Cumulus so can't check at this time. As I recall the data the FO console sends to the computer doesn't even contain the date. That's true for live data, but doesn't this stat...
