Re: Cumulus MX not reporting accumulated rain in webpage

All I know is that the data is now displaying properly. It appears to have rebuilt them. I haven't compared them to see what the difference is. It has definitely recreated them. Not sure if it is by pulling them in from the backup folder, or recreating them from scratch. It did seem to happen very q...

Re: Cumulus MX not reporting accumulated rain in webpage

It seems that I have managed to solve the problem by renaming today.ini, yesterday.ini, month.ini, year.ini and alltime.ini and letting it rebuild them on restart.

Cumulus MX not reporting accumulated rain in webpage

I had a crash of the system that the VM resides in that runs Cumulus MX. I've realised that when I look at the webpage, it shows no accumulated rain for this year or this month. When I look at the data files, I can see rainfall entries. I have tried pulling in backup files to no success. Is there a ...

Re: Australian weather radar gadget.

Matt, I dont know how difficult it would be, but I think it might be nice to be able to click on the gadget and open the web page.

Re: Mine’s Bigger than Yours

I know its not in my cumulus logs because its the other end of Australia, but I heard today that Darwin has had 425mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

Re: Homebuilt Wind Vane 1deg resolution

I doubt that many of us have an unobstructed area around our instrumentation to get any kind of stable airflow. I know mine is extremely compromised by the terrain and the foliage in our area. Thats a compromise that we make to live the way we want. Thanks for bringing some sanity back to the discus...

Re: Homebuilt Wind Vane 1deg resolution

No, I was right in the first place, the slots in the anemometer disk generate wind speed pulses primarily, but the electronics also counted the number of anemometer pulses between an index pulse from the anemometer disk and the point where that index hole passes a reference hole in the windvane disk...

Re: WS2350 - OK if com port ?

I have a WS-2315 that was connected to a serial port on a laptop until the laptop died. Its now connected via a Belkin usb to serial adapter on a new PC that has no serial port. I've had no issues apart from the known spurious readings that lacrosse stations are known to discover.

Re: Homebuilt Wind Vane 1deg resolution

I remember looking at a design over 20 years ago that had the anemometer and wind vane built into one unit. There was a reason for that. the anemometer was mounted on the top and the windvane on the bottom. The anemometer used an optical encoder with 360 slots. There was also a second track that had...

Re: Homebuilt Wind Vane 1deg resolution

Just a thought. The windvane on the lacrosse units have a disk with 4 slots for the gray code. The interesting thing that keeps the component count and the current consumption down is that they use a led for each slot, but only a single phototransistor. there is a light pipe with 4 little nubs on it...

light being reported as evapotranspiration on web page

I've just recently got a WH3081 to replace an aging ws-2315. as you know the 3081 does solar radiation and uv. Its been brought to my attention that the light value in lux as shown on the cumulus console and the LCD of the weatherstation is being reported on the web page as evapotranspiration. It se...

Re: Always low pressure new record light flashes (958)

Steve, I'm still seeing the same error in 1.9.1 build 977. You just gave me the clue that I had to click the high pressure to clear it.
