.Net Core migration

Hi

I'm guessing that CMX has been written under .Net Framework, which is why we need to use mono.

Are there any plans to migrate to .Net Core so that it will run on multiple platforms natively?

cheers

Re: Instructions: The Quick Easy Cumulus MX Synology NAS Installation

Does anyone know which files need copied and to where? Replacing the whole data folder worked for me. Stop the container Rename the existing data folder as a backup Copied the one I want migrated into the CumumusMX folder Restart the container. Wait a while for everything to catch up (mine was 10 m...

Re: Instructions: The Quick Easy Cumulus MX Synology NAS Installation

Just want to add a couple of helpful pointers. I encountered two issues 1) dates didn't migrate properly. This is easily fixed by adding the -lang en-NZ parameter in the CumulusMX call 2) the mono container does not pick up the host timezone resulting in incorrect times on logfiles (including the Mo...

Re: Synology NAS Docker - system time is GMT

Hi I found the fix. I had to set the environment variable on the mono docker container thus: Corrected env.png You can do this after the container is built or you can use the revised script below. I think that the revised deployment script is now below in include that in the initial setup if you are...

Re: Synology NAS Docker - system time is GMT

Thanks Freddie Yes, I can confirm that the timezone is not correct on the container. Unfortunately it it the MS mono container and the timedatecrtl "command not found" :x "date" does return the date/time and I can see that it is set to UTC. Does this time impact CMX - otherwise i...

Synology NAS Docker - system time is GMT

I did include the -lang en-NZ parameter to get the imported dates working (first time I forgot an...

Re: Data loss following powercut

Thank you Paul, et al. I was worried that if I restored that the data would not be updated from the weather station. I restored as at a couple of days ago. When I ran the app I got the date / time issue, so I ran again specifying en-NZ as the language and it ran, downloading data and updated as expe...

Data loss following powercut

Hi Please help. problem We had a powercut today and the Raspberry PI 4 running CumulusMX shutdown untidily. I restarted it and CulumusMX. All was looking good until " - Downloading entire logger contents!" x 2. Looked OK, but when I went to website I watched the rain gauge reverse from 26m...
