Re: Inconsistent behaviour of 'system' webtags
OK great, thanks. So the strings used as placeholders in the "live" pages just happen to be the same as the ones used by the web tags? That explains it, thanks. Out of curiosity, is there a list of parameters exposed for the live pages, akin to the list of webtags CMX produces? I have adde...

Inconsistent behaviour of 'system' webtags
Just a quick one, but I have noticed that some web tags seem to work when parsing templates, but not in the CumulusMX localhost web pages. For example, I can show current CPU temp and data stopped alarm on my external web pages via a custom json template populated via 'extra web files'. But not on m...

Re: SD Card Longevity
Thanks for the great conversation everyone - It's an interesting topic with lots of viewpoints. It looks like my 32G 'surveillance' rated SD card will keep me going for a while whilst I get my head in order. Having said that, my worry is silent errors, mis-recorded parameters that slip through my mo...

SD Card Longevity
Running CumulusMX on a Raspberry Pi, and (probably) like most others, I'm running it off a "surveillance" standard SD card. One of the things on my to-do list is moving the OS and MX to some USB flash memory or SSD. How long are people finding their SD cards are lasting? I know it's a theo...

Re: Rainrate Webtags
Thanks all. Really useful.
I think for now, I need to figure out how to get highcharts to graph the rainfall json data out from the API in a custom graph and then revisit this in the future. SQL looks a promising option.

Re: Rainrate Webtags
I'll give it a try - my understanding is that this is just the max rainrate over the previous minute - I don't think I can manipulate it to give me the max rain rate over the last 15 can I?
I wonder if I could write it out every minute then take the max from the file?

Rainrate Webtags
I'm trying to use the web tags to log the highest rainfall rate over the last 15 minutes to a CSV file (I would take peak rainfall rate over the last hour instead if possible)? <#rrate> seems to give an instantaneous readout, and the various other tags seem to give daily/monthly max: <#rrateTM> <#rr...

Re: Add Extra Temp Value to Interface Page
No idea if you got anywhere with this - but I found your thread whilst trying to do the same. I must admit, there was a lot of head scratching going on, and failed attempts. Anyway, the following HTML tag and script did the trick, and I now have the second sensor's readings appearing on my summary p...

Re: Extra Web Files - option to append line rather than overwrite?
hhhmm.. Interesting. My current workflow uses CRON to at interval+1 minute to append the single line to a cumulative CSV, then at interval +2 minutes, it cuts the file to the last 320 lines + header, which allows Highcharts to plot ~80hrs of recent data. I guess I could do this via MX if I were to c...

Extra Web Files - option to append line rather than overwrite?
Hi there, I am currently using CumulusMX to create a text file with one line at every interval, and then taking this file and appending it onto the end of a running log to create a custom chart. Is it possible for CumulusMX to append the resulting extra webfile line to the output rather than replaci...

Re: Annual and Monthly Rainfall not displaying correct values
Spot on, thanks for your reply. :-) I was changing the windspeed from m/s to mph, and did the calculations in the day file. Which I did in Excel. A momentary lapse in concentration when extracting and saving the dayfile back to text meant I forgot to de-convert the year format back. It's a rare erro...

Annual and Monthly Rainfall not displaying correct values
Could anyone help me understand why my annual and monthly rainfall totals are not displaying correctly, and how I may go around fixing the issue? It was working fine until Jan 2022 rollover, and seemed to be working fine until the last few days - although truth be told, I may have missed it if it st...
