Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.
Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024
(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)
Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024
Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Re: GW1100 Dropping out
I contacted Ecowitt and had a quick response asking me if when it happens I can ping Ecowitt.net and if the wifi light is slow flashing. Both are almost impossible unless I can catch it in the act! This is difficult as if it’s at night I can’t observe it anyway, and the dropouts are being picked up ...

Re: GW1100 Dropping out
Mark, Thanks for responding, it’s pausing the uploads too. I had a major 2 hour fallout 23/24 April over the rollover period which was a pain. Since then it’s dropped out quite frequently, but for shorter periods. I stopped Cumulus and restarted it yesterday evening which took 4 tries to find the GW...

GW1100 Dropping out
I've just started having GW1100 problems over the last few days. Before I contact Ecowitt, please am I doing anything wrong? I wasn't running auto discovery but it's been fine for months. I changed that to see if it made any difference, also rebooted the GW1100. File extract attached, grateful for a...

Re: Dashboard
Mike, I don’t know what, if any experience you may have? I started with zero! Have now spent a happy (I think!!!) couple of months totally hooked on html and css - beware, it becomes somewhat addictive! People are always very willing to help, plus the forum is another useful place for reference mate...

Re: Ecowitt WS80 - winter issue in the lowlands
Hans, I guess I didn’t phrase the beginning of my post well! I think with my unit, there was probably water ingress which was dried out by the sun periodically until the weather became very wet and it just couldn’t dry out. Hopefully, yours doesn’t have the issues that mine had, it has been somewhat...

Re: Ecowitt WS80 - winter issue in the lowlands
I’m afraid this isn’t what you both want to hear, but I had these sort of issues with a WS80 starting last October, when we had prolonged wet and damp weather. Odd spikes that stayed flatlined which progressively got worse. Wind only at first, which was manageable then affected temperature and humid...

Re: Beginner errors
I can now return to html where I’ve belatedly discovered the ‘inspect’ facility in Edge!

Re: Beginner errors
Hans, Well done  . It took me a while, but I changed the swap file. My website now runs straight through, including the WindRose and much faster! Thank you for solving that. I'm hoping that may also solve another issue I've been having where periodically the Pi is still running Cumulus but bec...

Re: Beginner errors
Hans, Thanks for spending time on this on my behalf. That makes a lot of sense as I’ve had ‘ghost’ files left in the data log eg copy of “month”.txt which I’ve had to manually delete, almost as though it’s got stuck somewhere. I’ll take some time later and try what you suggest. I’m currently struggl...

Re: Storm Eunice
Bizarre here, pressure rising fast 1000.5, temperature dropped like a brick, the wind’s picked up again and we have very heavy rain interspersed with sleet. I can’t ever remember anything like this.

Re: Storm Eunice
2 miles inland from south coast here, but very sheltered location and seldom record gusts over 30mph. I got 51mph at 12:24, pressure went from 1008.1 at 20:40 last night to 988.5 at 11:00 this morning. It’s been pretty bad, but thankfully everything seems OK. Cannot imagine what 90mph gusts must be ...

Re: User Reports and iFrame
Hans,
Thank you.
I judge my progress by the amount of reading of the wiki and forum that makes sense, as opposed to bewilderment At least copying Andy’s files has introduced me to new subjects, the next of which will be css.
Linda

Re: User Reports and iFrame
Please ignore my posts for today, I've just re read the Wiki which answers my issues. User Reports now working very well, just need refinement.
Hans,
Maybe you want to remove the posts as a waste of space? Thanks very much.

Re: User Reports and iFrame
Oh dear, sorry, ignore the Cumulus issue. I’m not confessing to discovering that I have not only page 1 of the extra web files filled in, but page 7 also. I’d obviously thought page 7 was page 1 at some stage. Discovered that when trying to delete all the odd FTP ticks down every page. Goodne...
