Re: NEW RPi and swapping across a SSD
After a little head scratching and visits to Google, I managed to mount my SSD to the home/pi2 directory, :D which is where I wanted it. here's how I did it: Booted up the RPi2 with the SSD connected to a USB port. sudo mkdir /home/pi2/CumulusMX -To create a new CumulusMX directory where I wanted it...

NEW RPi and swapping across a SSD
Apologies for the long message but here goes: (I will be using the GUI to do this if possible) OLD RPi Existing RPi (pi) has an external SSD called 'CumulusMX' (all the CMX files and directories run directly from the root of this drive, it is not used for anything else). It is set to auto ...

Re: Installing .net on RPi
looks good - looks like progress  I will add though.... buster is now two pios versions behind - might be something to keep in mind for the future. I did think about this. A clean install (bearing in mind my CMX runs on an external ssd, with the necessary changes made to identify that location...

Re: Installing .net on RPi
UPDATE- FAILED AGAIN I've selected ' View ', ' Show Hidden ' and can see a " .dotnet ' folder under ' Home/Pi/ ' which has several files and folders. Still can't get anything from ' dotnet --version ', or ' dotnet --info ' though, just " bash: dotnet: command not found " Have run the...

Re: Installing .net on RPi
I'm not familiar with Gnu, but you could try doing the last installation step (4) in my instructions (changing the path as you have installed to the default $HOME/.dotnet folder), these make dotnet "visible" to every login... sudo echo 'export PATH=$PATH:/home/pi/.dotnet' | sudo tee /etc/...

Installing .net on RPi
So in anticipation of some pain ahead I have begun the process of installing .net on my RPi. I am running Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster), which looking at Marks instructions is not covered by his easy to copy scripts and instead is referenced by a link to; "https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/dot...

Re: Docker image test - CMX 4
Sad to say I’m already very nervous about this potential update. I’m not technically competent with all these different updates and background changes. I had just got my head round how to update CMX 3 on my Rpi, as newer versions came out. This new update looks like it may be a step too far for some...

Re: Release 3.28.1 (which files to upload?)
Thanks guys.
I have amended the links at the top of my index page.
That’s why I was looking at which files I specifically needed to update.
However I can upload every file in the ‘webfiles’ folder if needed.
Thanks for your thoughts

Release 3.28.1 (which files to upload?)
Just before I update CMX to 3.28.1, I'd just like to confirm which base files I need to upload again? 'Note that are changes to default web site graphs - you must upload the base files again'. Are they the .html files in the 'webfiles' folder? :?: or some other files which I have missed? Thanks in a...

Re: Thank You Mark and Happy Christmas to all.
Merry Christmas, one and all. Thanks for all your help with my stupid questions. Long May it continue. Not my stupid questions but the help and support of those more knowledgeable than me (and that’s probably most of you). Thanks for the continual development of Cumulus Mark. May your patience with ...

Think we are in the centre of the system (Nottingham). Yes its raining but winds currently very light at 2mph NE.
As the low moves off I think it will get more lively.
