Re: Shared UserReports

Hi Leo

Your site looks really good, an interesting mix of reports. Seems like it has been rather warm this month a continental climate is very different from the maritime climate we have in Jersey.

CUtils 7.0.0

Hi Hans

The latest release seems to be working as expected with no issues to report.

It is good to see that you have solved your connectivity issues, I find that new routers need to be put in place every few years just to keep up with new tech.

Re: CMXv4 Memory usage

I have monitored HTOP memory use for a short while and the results are as follows

Uptime 03:000:00 mem use 506M/3.70G
Uptime 05:34:42 mem use 512M/3.70G
Uptime 18:36:45 mem use 519M/3.70G

Steadily increasing but at that rate my ram will take a very long time to flood the available space.

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing

Just to add to my situation, as a lowly user of CMX I find that the HighCharts way of dealing with protecting their IP against non-commercial use is a bit heavy handed. As ever I think that CMX and CUtils are both great non- commercial uses of a multitude varying software products and the skill sets...

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing

Well following my application for a non commercial licence, I received a message from HighCharts today saying that I did not qualify for this type of licence.

Back to the drawing board then.

Re: Installing CMX v4

I see that you are having issues with dotnet on linux. The istallation that has worked for me is contained in the following code notes. All the insrtuctions are done in a terminal session at a top level. I hope this helps. To update the dotnet installation. First remove any existing .NET install: su...

Re: Important - Highcharts Licensing

Hmm I saw this topic first raised a week or so ago and thought that it would be something that would not go away. The personal non commercial licence seems to be the way forward at the moment especially since it is currently free. I really think that we have a personal product that benefits from the...

CumulusMX 4.0.0 b4018

Yesterday I upgraded to the latest beta test, as ever the upgrade when very well with no errors. Currently I am running Davis VP2, .Net 8.0.3 on a RPi 4 with Debian 12 bookworm. The only point of interest to me was the timing of my CUtils update which is scheduled to run by crontab at 01:00 but toda...

Re: CUtils v7 upgrade notes

I just did a complete rebuild of my RPi starting with ssd format and reinstall of Raspberry Pi 64bit OS and then reinstall dotnet 8.0.3, CMX 4.0.0 b 4017 and CUtils 7.0.0 public beta 1. This was to remove any residual traces of mono and to be in a good position for future updates. Probably overkill ...

Re: Installing .net on RPi

Hi Martyn Looking at your install it seems that it is trying to install an old version of dotnet. The method I used was that shown on GitHub and here are my notes for the install. It might help you, certainly the PATH bit that Mark suggested is included for the initial install. To update the dotnet ...

This should get 8.0.103 as the version on your RPi

CUtils v7 upgrade notes

Hi Hans I just did a full upgrade of my RPi for CMX and CUtils from the betas we have been testing. CMX initially did not auto start on reboot but that was sorted with the self installer rather than using the older cumulusmx service method. Since I do not use commas to separate decimals, operating i...
