Re: ISP has 'UPGRADED' hosting - FTP no longer works
I think the 550 error is just saying the file does not exist, which is correct - it's just checking. There are two FTPS compatibility settings you could try (FTPS can be tricky!). This will be trial and error though... So the usual stop Cumulus, edit Cumulus.ini, restart Cumulus caveat. 1. Add the ...

Re: Cumulus 1.9.4 build 1099
I haven't posted in here for a very long time. I've been using this version/build for many many years on 3 pc's without a hitch. Currently with this config. http://weather.gkt.net.au/stats.htm No Monitor. The pc reboots at 4am each morning using windows scheduler to keep things freshened up. I use w...

Re: Cumulus chill hours
Thinking out loud here, If I were to have backups that I created over the years I could get the season chill hours for previous years. Ummm.
What year was the chill hours calculation added to cumulus?
Just had a look, 2nd July 2011. (Now the hunt for backups that I haven't deleted)

Re: Stevenson Screen Help
Attached is a guide from the Australian BoM that I used as a guide when I constructed my Stevenson Screen.
As with the base, I have a couple of large holes to provide airflow as most of the pictures I have seen on the net have had open or partially open floor/base.
Gook luck!

Re: Glovine Hosting Issues?
I have had a number of dns issues mainly because my domain management was not with glovine, so any dns changes I had to manually make, but since I have transferred my domain management to glovine there has not been any issues as any dns changes are automatic.

Re: is Glovine Free Web Hosting no more?????
I keep trying to setup a account on it and it goes into a error right at the end of sign up. A belated reply, but if you go to http://www.glovine.com.au and click on live chat (At the top and to the right) they are very prompt and helpful. I have never waited any more that 2 mins for them to appear...

Re: Glovine Hosting Issues?
I had the same issues, following is the response I got from tech support chat last evening. (12 hrs ago) --------------------- Tech says: There was an update to our DNS server that required the nameservers to re-resolve, however that was only in the past few hours and not everyone was effected. Was ...

Re: Chill Hours
Is the returned value retrospective or is it only calculating it from when this build was installed. It starts counting from when you first run it. There isn't really any easy way to do it retrospectively (but yes, it could get an approximation by extracting data from the log files). Ah yes, I see ...

Chill Hours
I have installed the latest build (1.9.2 build 1000) over the 1.9.1 release. I checked chill hours and noted a value of 0.5 for the default values. I have added (For the Southern Hemisphere) ChillHourSeasonStart=4 ChillHourThreshold=7 To the [Station] section of the cumulus.ini file while Cumulus wa...

Hello Andrew,
You may be able to have cumulus upload the web pages to the server so the students can view it on your intranet.
I'm sure that the community here would be able to help you if needed.
