Latest build 3.20.1 (3203) not copying files
I have a cumulus mx system running on a raspberry pi which was originally set up from a supplied RPi lite image and regularly updated. I have two web sites, one using the supplied webfiles folder with the Neil Thomas templates at /opt/CumulusMX and a second using my own templates at /home/pi/weather...

@freddie
Your solution worked a treat and I have also adopted your suggestion of a separate web folder to minimise hassle on updates.
Many thanks!

Re: Update to MX 3117 not updating custom web site
@freddie - I'm getting confused here! My template files with the T in them are in my CumulusMX/web folder where they have always been. The updated .htm files from .htm templates used to be created in the CumulusMX/web folder automatically and I used 'Extra web files' to copy them to the webserver ro...

Re: Update to MX 3117 not updating custom web site
For what it's worth attached is a copy of the first Extra Files Page of the settings. I don't think this is the problem area. It is the fact that the tags in the template file are not getting updated to the intermediate .htm files. I have noticed, though, that all the individual json are updated cor...

Re: Update to MX 3117 not updating custom web site
Thanks for the comments. As far as I can see from looking at the CumulusMX files, The tags on the websitedataT.json files are updated to data on the websitedata.json file but none of my existing template (T) file tags are updated to their .htm equivalent. I can't find anywhere to disable websitedata...

Update to MX 3117 not updating custom web site
I have been successfully using MX on a Raspberry Pi for a number of years and was up until 02/03/2021 using MX 3107 (www.craythorneweather.info). I have always used my own templates which I host on my own web server which also runs on the RPI The templates are in the CumulusMX/web folder and also th...

Re: Cumulus Release 3099 randomware recovery problem
I have gone back to 3097 and copied in a valid cumulus.ini file and it works ok.
Would a missing ini file have caused the problem?

Cumulus Release 3099 randomware recovery problem
I have suffered a randomware attack on my network which got to the RPI running CumulusMX. Although this is incrementally backed up the full back was also affected. Having cleaned the system (as far as I can tell) I have downloaded 3099 (I was on 3097) but on trying to restart I got the following:- p...

Re: The dreaded 'error [object Object]'
I checked the interface html files against the latest build (3081) and they were ok but I have just noticed that the internet options and schema json files in the interface json folder are different sizes in build 3081 than on my system so maybe that might be the problem!

Re: The dreaded 'error [object Object]'
Yes I have checked the next page (the only other one used) on the extra web files. The error occurs when I try to save the 'internet settings' page. The cumulus.ini file has been set up by me as I couldn't set it via the web interface and (now) doesn't contain any entry pertaining to the error. I'm ...

The dreaded 'error [object Object]'
I am a long time Cumulus user and my current setup is on a Raspberry Pi 3 which, as well as running CumulusMX, also hosts my website (www.craythorneweather.info) running via a nginx web server. This functions very well but when, recently, I came to update my cumulus.ini settings via the 'internet se...

Re: Instructions: Installing CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi
Mono 5.18.0.240 was what was downloaded when I specified 6.0.0.334 as my snapshot so, as that is working, I have changed my mono source entry to that. In view of the earlier troubles with non compatible of mono and if the only use for mono is to run CumulusMX it would seem sensible to stick with a v...

Re: Instructions: Installing CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi
Mark I have just changed the mono entry in /etc/apt/sources.list.d to- 'deb https://download.mono-project.com/repo/debian stable-raspbianbuster/snapshots/6.0.0.334 main' and reloaded mono-complete. This was the previous buster version as far as I could tell, but instead it loaded 5.18.0.240. This wo...
