Mono and CumulusMX under jessie and stretch

I have three Pi's, a 2B running Moode 4, a 3B running Nginx as a proxy sever under stretch for my home network and a 3b which is mainly running CumulusMX under jessie via mono for my weather station and website (www.craythorneweather.info). I would like to upgrade the jessie Pi3 to stretch but unfor...

Re: CumulusMX dosnt work properly for Fine Offset station

I had the same problem when I upgraded my pi 3b from jessie to stretch, so it probably is the version of mono which is in the stretch repository.

I have temporarily gone back to my backed up version of jessie whilst I ponder digging out the earlier version of mono that works.

Re: CumulusMX Raspberry PI and nginx

I am using files (and instructions) out of the moonphase.zip file from David at djmsystems. The version of PHP I have on the RPI is PHP5-FPM which is the version shown in most of the nginx configuration examples I have seen.
I'll read up on GD and substitute that. Many thanks for the pointer.

CumulusMX Raspberry PI and nginx

Having run Cumulus 1 for a number of years on a pc feeding an apache web server on a linux (Fedora) box (http://www.craythorneweather.info) from a Fine Offset weather station, I have changed to running MX on a raspberry pi 3. This has enabled me to get the wireless receiver and raspberry pi far clos...

Re: Cumulus MX (Cumulus 3) beta test

Probably a little late in the day now, but I would be interested in running Beta test on any or all of my machines.

Windows 7 64 bit.
Windows 10 technical preview.
Linux fedora 21
Raspberry-pi 2 b (on order)

Re: Real time updating

Steve As a final word on my problem, in case anyone else should encounter it, the fault was not a typo in the target directory but the directory itself. PROFTPD, the FTP server I am using on the linux machine, does not require a target directory from the FTP client, it gets this from the data set up...

Re: Real time updating

Well spotted!! Both are typo's. Should be /var/www/html/weather.

It says something for the linux ftp server (Proftpd) that it gets some of the data to the right place even when the address is wrong.

Many thanks.

Re: Real time updating

Geoff - they are on different machines. Cumulus doesn't work on linux. Steve /var/www/httpd/weather as an address is not unusual in a linux environment. My guess is that it is a permissions issue. the error message might not be that accurate in what it is describing. The normal FTP log (attached) sh...

Real time updating

I have successfully installed the cumulus web site http://www.craythorneweather.info on my own linux based server located at my home. I seem to be unable to get the real time update working. I can ftp the realtime.txt file to the site without a problem but it refuses to update automatically. I would...
