Watson W8681 - Missed downloading data

I have had my station for over 3 years and for some reason yesterday when I went to download the previous 6 days it downloaded nothing saying the last date of download was the current date. Today it behaved normally and downloaded the last 24 hours of data. So I'm missing about 6 days data which I'm...

Re: Cumulus MX Graph Scales

Hi Hans, I have studied the settings in MX and found that in Web/ftp settings the "include graph data files" button had somehow become unselected. Having selected it and done an ftp update, the graphs on the website now mimic the graphs on MX on my PC. All the data is correct on both and u...

Cumulus MX Graph Scales

Hi all. Help requested. For some unknown reason the graphs in MX are displaying what I can only describe as random scales. Every time I run it the scale is different and nothing like the scale of 168 hours for the hourly one which is entered in the graph calibration field. The daily graph for rainfa...

Deleting a Month of Data

Hi all, I had a problem with my Watson W-8681 station losing data connection which is now resolved (short circuits on the circuit board). I now have everything working properly again but the data for a period of two months is incomplete and there are also many spurious readings. I would like to dele...

Re: W-8681-SOLAR no outdoor temp/humidity/wind readings

Hi, I have a W-8681 (non solar) which performed perfectly for 30 months then started failing to transmit the outside data to the console. It only seemed to do so when the relative humidity rose above 90%. It got progressively worse until the missing data rendered it unusable. I took the main outside...

Re: NOAA Reports - Base for Degree Days

Thanks Paul. I've just realised 18.3 degsC is 65 degsF so it is based on the assumed value for a residential property in the USA. I currently have no evidence to support a need to change this so I will leave well alone. I do understand degree days as I used to use them in my work. I could with some ...

NOAA Reports - Base for Degree Days

Hi all, I am running Cumulus 3072 here in the UK. In the NOAA Reports the base for degree days Heating and Cooling is set at 18.3 degsC. Most UK sites seem to recommend 15.5 degsC for UK residential detached houses. My questions are: 1. Why is it set to 18.3 degsC 2. If I change it in the settings w...

Re: Updating Cumulus MX 3048

Hi rogerthn,

Ctrl - F5 worked for me as well. Must be a function of screen display. I use Opera which I believe is a spin-off from Chrome.

Many thanks, Phil

Re: Updating Cumulus MX 3048

Hi again,

I am happy with 3072 and it meets all my needs.

However my Dashboard page looks like the attached pdf file with the text at the bottom. Its not that important to me but I wondered why it shows this . Can anyone
enlighten me ?.

Re: Updating Cumulus MX 3048

Me again !.

As you were.......

I had one last look at the functionality and initially the data log viewer was the old one but after a couple of refreshes it now shows line numbers and has an edit and delete function. Excellent and just what was required.

I am now a happy bunny. :D

Re: Updating Cumulus MX 3048

Thanks Paul and SFWS, I took the bull by the horns and updated to 3072 as suggested with no problems. However I don't see any real difference to my previous version, visually that is. I was hoping there might be a better method of editing highs and lows and spurious data. It is extremely difficult t...

Updating Cumulus MX 3048

After using Cumulus MX 3048 since January 2019 I am considering updating to the most recent release. What I don't know is what different functionality and visual difference this will make to my experience. Since getting it up and running I have had no real problems with MX 3048 and don't want to ris...
