Re: Cumulus 1 After 2020?

Yes, I think so. It’s just anything with a drop-down that’s been programmed with a fixed list of years that would be affected. I’m not sure what others there might be.

Re: Cumulus 1 After 2020?

Cumulus 1 should continue to work, it's just that facility which will be limited (and any other facilities which have a similar poorly designed interface!). It does mean that as well as not being able to view reports from 2021 onwards, you won't be able to create them manually either, only automatic...

Re: CumulusMX - WH1080 faulty data

You may have chosen the wrong station type - with or without solar sensors. This will cause ‘live’ data to be read OK but ‘logger’ data as used at startup to be read incorrectly. Note that a station with a solar charger does not necessarily have solar sensors.

Re: New Cumulus Home

Everything pretty speedy for me - logout, login, posting etc, no problems at all. Wonder if it's a browser issue? I'm using Chrome.

Re: Twitter upload problem

Twitter keep introducing new ways of making things difficult for third party software developers, including this latest restriction on the number of updates. It is possible to beg them to raise the limit on a per-application basis, so someone might want to take over being the Cumulus developer as fa...

Re: getting Devart.Data.MySql errors

I seem to remember this happening to someone else. If the port that Mark refers to gets cleared by whatever means, I think MX doesn't put the default back in again, and an error occurs even if you aren't using MySQL uploads.

Cumulus MX source code available for download

I have zipped up the Cumulus MX source code and added it to the downloads on this server (as well as the binary distribution for MX). Ken has created a download page in the wiki which also includes the MX release but and the source code. The source code is yours to do whatever you wish with. The cod...

The wiki has moved

The Cumulus wiki is now being hosted by Ken True as a subdomain of wxforum.net. The new URL is:

https://cumuluswiki.wxforum.net/

I have redirected access from the old URL to the new one.

Many thanks to Ken for doing this.

Re: Downloads

The files are where they have always been. The page with the list of downloads is now at http://sandaysoft.com/, as mentioned in the pink news box at the top of the forum.

Re: Downloads

Once the forum has been fully moved, and email turned back on, registrations will work again. Then people will be able to download MX again, they just need to be patient . Of course, the new management may decide to change the download method/location (as I would have done before long). The other do...

Re: "create missing" in dayfile.txt is not working

I suspect that the problem is as first suggested in this thread - your date format is now different (or at least one of the formats is different). Hence Cumulus cannot find the monthly log files as they do not have the names that it is now expecting.

Re: "create missing" in dayfile.txt is not working

Any errors in the diags file at that time? Or near the beginning, when Cumulus starts up?

Cumulus support ending, forum closing

After 15 years of developing and supporting Cumulus in its various forms, I have decided that it is time for me to stop. The forum will therefore be closing in the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone for your loyalty, kind words, and help over the years. I will make the SQL database for the forum ...

Re: Sun on light

There's an extra line in there which Cumulus does not expect. It uses the first line for the sunshine hours, and the fourth line set to "True" to indicate that the sun is currently shining. It looks like the format has changed.
