Re: Fire Weather - pwsFWI

While the fire season in Australia and New Zealand has started and the season in the Northern Hemisphere is coming to an end (though California is still burning after a season much like the 2019/20 Australian one) than, if you were not aware that fire is important as a factor in ecology, as an indi...

FTP problem 4.4.1

Hi, On Sunday I updated cumulusutils to version 4.4.1 from version 4.2.2, and since then the files it generates are not uploaded to my server by ftp. The parameters with which I execute the program are the following: "pwsFWI Top10 Graphs MapsOn DayRecords". I have checked the logs but I can't solve ...

Re: Fire Weather - pwsFWI

Today a small fire was registered in my village, in a ravine at the foot of the Carrascoy mountains.

I leave you a little video of the "ridiculous" affected area. Only 0.2Ha

Re: Fire Weather - pwsFWI

Last Thursday, there were dry storms in my area at dawn. A lightning strike caused a fire in a mountainous area about 65km from my weather station. https://www.google.es/maps/place/38%C2%B008'27.6%22N+1%C2%B053'23.5%22W/@38.0849014,-1.9749313,56310m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d38.1410114!4...

Re: Fire Weather - pwsFWI

So far, no major fires have occurred.

Some attempt, but it has been quickly brought under control.

I think people in general are very aware of the fires. I hope we don't have any major fires this summer.

Re: Fire Weather, a new approach

It's already very hot in much of southern Spain. In my opinion, the worrying thing about this year is that we have had a very rainy winter and spring, which has favoured the growth of vegetation. With the decrease in rainfall this summer, all that vegetation will dry out, providing a lot of fuel for...

Re: Language file sharing

I think some strings are missing.

If I'm not mistaken, the pwsFWI table header is shown only in English.

Otherwise great work Hans and all the translators especially Kocher

Re: New release

@meteosangonera: Thanks. As an aside: this fix also gave me the time to look a bit deeper into the rainfall patterns of the semi-arid regions of Spain (and in the geography of the Basque country and it's vegetation, but they have enough water it seems ;) ). Very interesting unpredictable sparse bur...

Re: New release

@meteosangonera: indeed it is a bug. Well spotted, thanks. I just found it myself doing my round along the implementations. I had not foreseen this, coming from a land where rain hardly ever has such extremes that it goes out of the expected band. So now, I do not implement an expectancy (av...

Re: New release

Hi, With the latest version I think there is a small problem in the scale of the graphs due to the introduction of the normal yearly precipitation line. http://www.meteosangonera.es/graficasclimaticas/#graficas-climaticas-tab-1 This year the precipitation exceeded 340 mm but the graph does not allow...
