Re: CumulusMX MySQL DB

Thanks again Mark, much appreciated. That has got the upload working at midnight, so I got yesterdays info entered into the table. Last problem seems to be updating the missing data (since mid-November 2018). The script fails with a "500 Internal Server Error" so obviously some miconfigura...

Re: CumulusMX MySQL DB

Thanks again Mark. I have created a new table with all the new column names and I think I have managed to copy all the data over from the old table. For the new columns there was obviously no corresponding data so when I view it in phpMyAdmin, it just shows "null" for the missing data. I p...

Re: CumulusMX MySQL DB

Thanks Mark. I created the table when I first used the ImportCumulusFile script of Cumulus1 created by DAJ and then continued to use the same table when I upgraded to CumulusMX. I never got round to upgrading to your version 2 of the script :( Is it because CumulusMX effectively uses version 2 of Im...

Re: CumulusMX MySQL DB

I have just moved hosts for my website and as part of the process decided I would try and get CumulusMX to do all the MYSQL stuff as well. However, it appears to be failing when trying to update the MYSQL table. I originally had a problem connecting which seems to be resolved after discussion with t...

Re: Sitelock - worth it?

Thanks for help all. Actual hosting and domain name renewal totals £36, so is fairly comparable Ray, so happy to stay with One, it was just the Sitelocker that they added without any justification and given I have had the site for a number of years without issue, question it’s need. I have asked the...

Sitelock - worth it?

My website host is One.com and I have just received my renewal for the coming year. This year they have added on "Sitelock Find" for £13.68 + Vat for the year. Given my website is basically for fun and I don't earn anything from it, is it really worth it? If my website were hacked, I would...

Re: More PHP upgrade questions

With a fresh set of eyes today, I've solved my own issue: This is the code that replaced it: <?php $querytysmtotrain=mysqli_query($con, "SELECT SUM(TotRainFall) FROM Afile WHERE YEAR(LogDate)=YEAR(NOW()) AND MONTH(LogDate)=$mo") or die ('Error: '.mysqli_error());?> <?php $row=mysqli_fetch_...

More PHP upgrade questions

Like Ray and others, my website host has also stopped supporting older versions of PHP, so I am now trying to convert all my PHP pages to work with PHP7.2 Having no experience of PHP and having created all my PHP pages with very grateful help from others on here, I have had limited success in conver...

Re: sound interaction

Not sure if this will do exactly what you need but this software allows the use of trigger noises to launch external programs. It doesn't say if multiple triggers can be configured but I'm sure the author will advise:

Re: FTP issue - think it is my fault

Bingo! Found out what the issue was. For the sake of anyone else searching for the same issue, here is the solution for my problem. It seems when you set a static IP address on the pi, you also have to set the DNS server in a file called /etc/resolvconf.conf So, I simply replaced 127.0.0.1 with my r...

FTP issue - think it is my fault

As of Sunday morning at 4.00am, my Pi has stopped updating my website. MXDiags log is reporting "Error connecting ftp - Could not resolve host 'ftp.menstonweather.co.uk' ". Now, I was having a problem with not being able to resolve my Pi name on my internal network and it seems this was ca...

Re: Lost some navigation buttons - anybody seen them?

Thanks Mark. I can see what you refer to when I inspect the element but for the life of me I can't find where this is set in my style-sheet's. I will keep looking.

Lost some navigation buttons - anybody seen them?

Not sure when or how, but I have just noticed I have lost some navigation buttons at the bottom of the table when I view my Dayfile table: http://www.menstonweather.co.uk/datasummary.php This does seem to only happen when viewing in Chrome on a desktop. They appear "sort of" ok when viewed...
