Re: Davis anemometer replacement

I had to replace the cartridge in mine recently and the new cartridge is a different design to the older one. Probably a design flaw corrected I would imagine.

I bought mine from a Davis-approved company here in England. Never bothered looking on Amazon.

Re: Map showing Cumulus users

Good find Steinar, I searched, but not in the WiKi  @Ray, I think you had to ask to be added or to modify the list. It has been a long time and my memory is probably wrong, but I thought it was a Cumulus Users map where all the listed users were plotted on the map, rather than going to the us...

I'm not arguing that. It all depends how bad you want a map. ;)
Desirable rather than essential.

Re: Map showing Cumulus users

Hans, why change if it isn’t broken? I am happy with the data shown on my website.

It sounds like a lot of effort to get a map of Cumulus users shown. I guess it’s not something that’s likely to be taken up.

Re: Map showing Cumulus users

Hans, if it could only be viewable via CMX why would I, as a user of the original Cumulus, be interested? ;) I have no idea how popular it might be and I wouldn’t want anyone to go to a lot of work to make it happen. It was just something I thought could be useful to check in on the weather stations...

Re: Map showing Cumulus users

Hans, thanks. I counted a total of 18 stations with zero in the UK. :?

If so few people are providing data it hardly seems worthwhile making a map available. Cumulus website seems the logical place to show its users around the world. The original map was useful as Mapantz has said.

Re: Map showing Cumulus users

Hi Hans,

I couldn't find the map on your website probably because I'm not familiar with Dutch. Would users need to be running CumulusMX in order to have their position shown?

It would need more than just me to make it worthwhile. Let's see if others feel the same about a user map.

Map showing Cumulus users

There used to be a map showing the location of Cumulus users. It hasn't been available for several years. Any chance it could be brought back?

Re: New Record? Post here.

My October record set back in 2010 was 1.11" on 3/10. It may go tomorrow if this storm is going to move north and sit over central England for over 24 hours. Amber weather warning just issued by the Met Office for 12:00 Sat to 06:00 Sun.

Another recommendation for ProData from me. John Dann frequents these boards regularly and is very helpful. https://www.weatherstations.co.uk/

Re: New Record? Post here.

15 September I had a 30.4 degrees at 53,2 degrees North at 17h15. That is pretty extreme. At the same time in the South of the Netherlands a 35.2 degrees was measured. Which had never occurred since start of measurement (120 years) Ah but you’re on continental Europe. Warm air to the British Isles ...

Re: New Record? Post here.

A new maximum temperature for September for this station. 28.7C. Not bad for 53.5 degrees north!
