Record high pressure for this station since it started in April 2009. 1045.9hPa and still rising. Wow! The only record that doesn't cause any damage or discomfort. :D

How to boost your site visitors

A few days ago I had a leaflet through the door inviting me to join a local neighbourhood website where people could exchange tips about security, general advice and other useful local topics. I decided to join. Whilst most chatter is about hiring cleaners, getting a gardener etc I thought I would a...

Re: MISSING 2 WEEKS OF DATA - MANUAL EDIT?

Hi Peter, Editing dayfile.txt (without Cumulus running) is probably your safest bet. Open it with Notepad++ (free) and use the info provided here on the field names to enter suitable data. Laborious but not too difficult. https://cumuluswiki.wxforum.net/a/Dayfile.txt#List_of_fields_in_the_file Depen...

    Re: Temperature Sensor

It is Ted. I bought mine from ProData in Cambs and they provide excellent service. John Dann often frequents these pages. This is the link to the VP2 and please note the info on the right about the temp / humidity sensor. https://www.weatherstations.co.uk/vp_main.htm

    Re: Temperature Sensor

Good advice from Paul. Check with your supplier. They may have reconditioned ones or perhaps do you a deal on a VP2 ISS.

    Re: Temperature Sensor

Hi Ted, the salt air is almost certainly the reason for the short life of the sensor. I remember Steve having the same problem when he lived in Orkney. Pity they don’t make them more resistant to salt air. :(

my Vantage Vue has suddenly stopped reporting temperature and humidity. Wind speed/rain ok.

    Any ideas please?
Almost certainly a failed temperature / humidity sensor. Contact your supplier who should be able to ship one. How old is your station?

    Hi Andy,

    Don't worry about Last 24 Hours. It's temporary and won't exist in ... 24 hours. :D

    Re: Odd rainfall reading

Andy, sounds like you have something very similar to my Samsung NC10 bought in 2009. That is an atom processor running XP. It runs Cumulus and WeatherLink using a useful utility that gives multiple virtual COM ports. Just copy your entire Cumulus folder over and turn off all power saving bar includi...

    Re: Odd rainfall reading

Andy, I leave my netbook on permanently. It helps prevent problems with shutting down and restarting. Also, I reckon people overseas might be interested in my weather in the middle of my night. With the lid closed except for occasional maintenance the power used is minimal. What type of PC are you u...

They're very good. They arranged for an anemometer to be repaired free of charge after it became bunged up.

Same company where I bought mine from. Strange. They'll swap it I'm sure.

    Re: Data Errors

It must be faulty. Can't think of any software reason why it would happen. Where did you buy it from? Definitely new?
