Re: EUwarning.php issues

Alas, I'm unable to replicate the issue. Your error message from curl shows a problem connecting to the Meteoalarm feed server, so it's an issue with connectivity between your webserver and their host (could be bad route, network fabric issue or ???). To remove the excess delay from your homepage, y...

Re: Website "Now safe"

I suggest trying a different tactic.. contact the EC about dd.weather.gc.ca site (based on https://www.weather.gc.ca/mainmenu/contact_us_e.html ) contact, you should use the form at https://www.weather.gc.ca/mainmenu/contact_us_e.html and use the Data request. Let them know you are trying to access ...

Re: Website "Not safe"

Yes, changing the time to 999999 just causes the script to NOT try and fetch new data from the EC site (which is failing due to the connectivity issue). Its typical for 1st level support to blame the script.. it's the webserver's connection to dd.weather.gc.ca (at IP 205.189.10.47 ) from your webser...

Re: Website "Not safe"

Do contact your hoster's tech support to get the root-cause (connectivity to weather.gc.ca) fixed. I've tried multiple methods to 'quietly' disable ec-forecast.php, and all of them result in other Notice errata appearing. Your base forecast uses data from https://dd.weather.gc.ca/citypage_weather/xm...

Re: Meso-map stopped working

As a footnote, I've talked with Martin about assuming hosting/administration for the ukwx.net site and since he was intending to retire it in September, he graciously agreed to let me host the site. The transfer was completed today with the ukwx.net now hosted (along with 15 other regional network s...

Re: Website "Not safe"

Digging deeper.. ran check-fetch-times.php and saw: --checking EC Forecast URL -- Using Settings.php $SITE['fcsturlEC'] entry for test. URL: https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/on-137_metric_e.html Cache: ./cache/ec-forecast-en.txt curl fetching 'https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/on-137_metric_e.html' c...

Re: Website "Not safe"

D'Oh.. I noticed you're running ec-forecast.php V5.03 - 16-Oct-2019 -- the current release is V5.06 - 18-May-2023 which has that last fix in it.

Get the new script from https://saratoga-weather.org/wxtemplate ... p?sce=view and install it.

Re: Website "Not safe"

Also try changing ec-forecast.php from

Code: Select all

to

Code: Select all

It may be your PHP doesn't like ${variable} notation any more..

Re: Website "Not safe"

I think the issue is in Settings.php where you have $SITE['ECforecasts'] = array( // Location|forecast-URL (separated by | character) 'Komoka (London Area), ON|http://weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/on-137_metric_e.html', // added for local London, ON 'Markham, ON|http://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/on-8...

Re: Website "Not safe"

Do add the change I suggested to ec-forecast.php so the error(s) will be displayed.

Re: Website "Not safe"

Hmmm.. running https://www.komokaweather.com/komokaweather-ca/check-fetch-times.php?show=versions shows a few updates are not present. Your site is running PHP 8.0.30 Based on where the index.php blows up (and also wxforecast.php too), the ec-forecast.php is having a fatal error issue. Check the err...

Re: Website "Not safe"

Most of the tools provided by links at LetsEncrypt rely on having SSH to your Linux server to run scripts.. not all have. You might take a look at https://help.zerossl.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058295454-Installing-SSL-Certificate-on-GoDaddy ZeroSSL does offer free certs (up to 3 domains), and you ca...

Re: Website "Not safe"

I think the root cause is not having an SSL cert for the website, so multiple browser mark http as "Not Safe" -- it doesn't mean the content, just the connection is "Not Safe" GoDaddy shared hosting seems to want to sell you an expensive SSL cert, but... it's possible with cPanel...

I've sent Martin an email just now.. hopefully he'll get that and get it fixed.
