Re: CMXv4 Memory usage

I never really looked at CMXv3 memory usage before the upgrade. But my CMXv4 is using 274 Meg on my Windows 11 PC.

Funny how it's within a couple of Meg in usage vs. my WD install, and the normal operating memory usage for IPTimelapse. IPTL jumps to 600 megs at times, then right back down.

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

When I upgraded to V4, I totally removed my IPTL text file from being made. But I don't think I had it set to realtime. Wouldn't have mattered as IPTL was looking at the file only every few seconds. Issue was the spacing of the resulting text file made the timelapse video text look wonky as it was s...

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

I think when you setup the plain text overlay, it'll add the text at every picture taking. Which I have set to 3 seconds.

But when you use WD option on the Weather tab, it caches it. You can chose 0-60 seconds. I have mine set to 5 seconds.

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

I think it updates every 10 seconds or so. Right now, the IPTL developer has his configuration for WD. But I don't care for the tenths of a MPH on Wind. And Baro pressure should be 2 points. I was hoping to switch over to having Cumulus make the TXT file. And it did make it when I tested it on V3. B...

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

Mapantz, I noticed you're running into the same issue as I am. When your wind direction goes from SSW, to SW, the whole line moves around. It doesn't stay with the same spacing. The reason that is an issue for me, is I create a nightly timelapse video I post to YouTube. When you speed up those shift...

Re: b4017 Update and WU

When I looked at my Table data, I had data missing. It was showing every 5 minutes of data before. But I had an hour gap, until I disabled RF.

With WU, anything is possible. And nothing, all at the same time.

Re: b4017 Update and WU

I had to wait until overnight for my dayfile to update/upload and NOAA reports to upload. All is working with 4018 for me, except this WU rapid fire.

Not an issue for me. WU is lucky to be getting my data. Just thought I would report on my upgrade to V4.

Re: b4017 Update and WU

Yeah, my site is WU free. But I've been sending data to WU since 2004. I'm a bit OCD and just can't give it up.

Plus, I have 2 neighbors on WU. I have to compete! :-)

Re: b4017 Update and WU

Seems rapid fire was the cause. I turned that off. Changed interval to 5 minutes. Good enough for WU.

b4017 Update and WU

Just upgraded to b4017. Was pretty straight forward. All of my third party uploads are working except Weather Underground. I've re-entered my Device ID and Station key. But still not updating. I have Rapid Fire also checked.

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

Is the dayfile reader compatible with the new V4?

IPTimelapse Template file

I've been using IPTL since the end of May. I have it setup to get my weather info from WD. But I don't like how it shows wind with decimal places. And pressure shows only with 1 decimal place. I had an HTX file from a long time ago that I tried switching to yesterday. But the issue is the text spaci...

Re: Sky Conditions

What I like about WD is it not only gives sky conditions, but it'll say "cloudy, raning" "partly sunny, stopped raining" or "night time, dry". So its both sky conditions and rain/no rain. So it's a little more verbose than the local METARS. That and my local METAR condi...

Sky Conditions

It would be nice if Cumulus could create it's own sky conditions if you have solar/UV sensors. Similar to what WeatherDisplay does. Makes loading of my webpage faster with Saratoga scripts when that is included in the live conditions file.
