    Re: Cumulusutils

Hi Hans, Re The Graphs module. Just wondering if you can rework it to produce EVT charts similar to the Daily & Monthly rain. Presume this would just require a duplication of the existing code, but picking up the EVT value from the dayfile as well as rain. Don't know whether to suggest separate char...

Need a link to the page to see what is going on.
I could be mistaken, but that screen snip looks like it's taken from the interface page, unless he's changed the default gauge page to mimic the interface.

Re: Fire Weather, a new approach

I've been watching the January pattern very closely. To date the BOM has 27.4mm & I've had 23.0. BOM's station is about 4km West & 80m higher. Have now had 25mm today, bringing my January total to 66mm; the BOM is showing 44mm, but that will exclude todays rain, which they measure at 17.4. They cou...

Re: Fire Weather, a new approach

However, I would like to point out to @griffo42 above , that if ever there was an argument for local stations and predictions and against relying solely on BoM large picture, this situation definitely is one. Or do I miss a point? It's interesting, as the BOM already has my data. I set my station t...

 how many years using that ?
It's gotta be a year or two.

It's not easy to follow & find the changes, hence my desire to put an updated one on the Wiki.

    Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner

and you can always view the source code of anybody's banner by .php?sce=view Not quite getting that. As in http://weather.inverellit.com/banner.php?sce=view ?? Should that somehow let me view the code in my php file? Can't see it, looked in Dev view etc. But remember Web & php is not my strong suit.

Simple answer is have you tried it :o

... and if you are updating everything, what about background graphic option (with comments)
    Thanks for the reminder.

And no, not tested yet, but I did do the background graphics in my own Banner, so will look & bring that across.

Re: Update from Cumulus 1 issues

The problem with that is some people (me included) run CumulusMX on machines that do not have a graphical interface and browser, or even a screen/keyboard! Yeah I get that; Totally. But they are probably the ones that are switched on about the entire concept & can deal with ini files in a text edit...

Re: Update from Cumulus 1 issues

Good to see you've made the move. I had resistance myself; probably because I didn't read the docs etc; so just saw the dos box that didn't grab my attention that much. Maybe a solution to that, for others in the future would be to have MX launch http://localhost:8998 after it starts. I'd assume thi...

    Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner

I thought my post explained everything and the realtime.txt fields are already in the wiki. Thanks, Just wanted to clarify before going on the wrong tangent. Here's what I ended up with after changing the download that sits at https://saratoga-weather.org/scripts-legacy.php#tnetweather Let me know ...

What is more interesting though is the Radar images, which show huge rainfall coming, but splitting over us. That's not un-common & has happened for years. R...

Re: Cumulus Wiki moving to new hosting - 11-Jan-2020 9-12noon Pacific time

Thanks folks! The move went fairly smoothly. I needed to handle wxforum.net first (and more complicated). Re the move of wxforum.net, I am getting invalid password over there. Tried a reset with first username (Also Phil23) an later my registered gmail, but neither provided a reset email. Didn't kn...

    Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner

cross posted !!! Like many others your banner version does not look for the later fields that have been added to realtime.txt. Presume mine is the same as I see this in the file. ############################################################################ # Reference: Cumulus Format of realtime.txt...

It's also worth noting that you can also install MX then copy just your data without the ini file to have a look how your previous data look & to get the feel of how everything works baring the connection to the station & the FTP uploads.
