Re: Neither Air Quality or Historic Working for me
Sorry meant to say its the Admin interface webpages Anything to help look for bad data if thats the cause? I agree the new sensor is designed for indoor use. might be useful to support it at some point as it also measures temp/humidity at that location as well Does Lucy not send you the protocol doc...

Re: Neither Air Quality or Historic Working for me
Loving the new version. I cant however seem to get the historic temp graphs to work. Just says Loading... The other historic graphs are OK and cant see any obvious bad dayfile readings Also is there any plans to add the new Ecowitt WH45 (2.5PM/10PM/CO2) Internal AQM sensor to the measured data like ...

Re: MX and Ecowitt
Only the GW1000 device does not log and store the data from the various sensors. If you purchase one of the display consoles these often do log and store. For instance the HP2551/2/3 display consoles have a microSD card slot and record all the data onto that in CSV file format if you require. The in...

Fine Offset WiFi Stations (GW-1000)
Dear All, thought I would take the opportunity to highlight that thanks to the latest work of Mark we now can add all the current crop of WiFi stations (and some of the old like the Maplin N23) to those that are now supported by CumulusMX and its latest release (b3056) In order for you to be able to...

Re: Integration of Homematic IP weatherstation into Cumulus MX
I cant disagree about your comments regarding the WS-1001 and its variants though the newer generation of Fine Offset stations and sensors are considerably better and employing some impressive technology.

Re: Ecowitt/Fine Offset weather stations
Apologies MRCrossley, I failed to notice your previous reply. The newer Fine Offset weather stations do not support USB access and all comms are by IP and most are not directly addressable in other words its a transmit only station. The solution to this is the GW-1000 which does allow data to be rea...

Re: Ecowitt GW-1000 and Cumulus MX
I might be able to arrange some test kit and pre-release access to the API if someone can commit to adding the code to MX
PM me if you can do that and I will discuss with Ecowitt if they will play ball.

Ecowitt GW-1000 and Cumulus MX
Folks, anyone who has a modern Fine offset weather station that talks only to the Internet can now aqcuire a GW-1000 from Ecowitt This is a mini weather station (without a screen) about the size of a matchbox and USB powered. It can receive data from pretty much most of the currently sold Fine offse...

Re: Supported devices
Unfortunately the future is internet connected PWS and the probability of getting another PWS that can be hooked up with USB to a Pi and Cumulus is rather low. However all is not lost. I have been doing a lot of work with Ecowitt who are the primary retailer of Fine Offset stations and do testing wo...

Ecowitt/Fine Offset weather stations
Dear all, I thought I would post here about my findings on the latest Fine Offset weather stations. If you are not aware Fine Offset have started or are collaborating with a new sister company in Hong Kong/Shenzen called Ecowitt. Ecowitt's aim is to bring direct to market all the goodness that Fine ...

Re: Cumulus MX and WiFi Only stations
Hi Galfert (I'm also Mandrake! BTW on the WX forum!) I have been doing some research and I have found the following Python script someone wrote for the HP1000 series consoles. https://github.com/wrbelfield/ws1001wxdata If you look at the script you can see its easy to alter the code to talk to whate...

Re: Cumulus MX and WiFi Only stations
While I wait for my new Ecowitt/Fine Offset station to arrive I have been doing a lot of investigation. There is a phone app (ws View) that allows live data viewing from either the Gateway (Gw-1000) or the console. So, this must imply that you could in theory write some code that reads the data dire...

Re: Cumulus MX and WiFi Only stations
Thanks Chaps, I will take a look at WeeWx. I presume a SDR is needed as well in the Pi in order to capture the sensor transmissions? Looks like my trusty N96GY has finally given up in the gales this week. While I wait for my new kit to wing its way from China and Fine Offset/Ecowitt I will do some r...

Cumulus MX and WiFi Only stations
Hi, it is with some despair that I find my old and trusty maplin/FO weather station is beginning to die after nearly 10 years of reliable and relatively trouble free use. The last three years or so it has been feeding my Pi and Cumulus MX. However after dialogue with FO in China I have decided to ta...

Re: HDD or SD Card for CumulusMX
OK, my boot disk is a 16Gb SanDisk Class 10. So hopefully this will prove robust. Perhaps I will refresh the SD card every few years to be on the safe side. I plan to use the start/stop script to make a backup of CumulusMX to a thumb drive each night or perhaps weekly as a belt and braces safety mea...
