Re: VP2 coming out of setup mode on its own
FYI - the reason I mentioned the TBR (in case you are not aware), that even in set up mode the TBR tips will be recorded. No I wasn't aware that TBR tips (I assume you are talking about the rain tipping bucket) are still recorded even in setup mode. That is useful to know. Luckily I always disconne...

Re: VP2 coming out of setup mode on its own
My first assault on the ISS is always to unplug (carefully) the TRB. I did unplug the sensors inside the ISS after putting the console in setup mode then reconnected them once the ISS was back in position after the repair. What I hadn't realised was the console was no longer in setup mode and was g...

Re: VP2 coming out of setup mode on its own
It's a shame that Davis don't consider this important enough to mention it in the manual. With the exception of powering up, all mention of entering and leaving setup mode refers to the manual method. Of course this now begs the question, is this a fixed time period or an inactivity one? From Davis ...

Re: VP2 coming out of setup mode on its own
This is a very old thread you have resurrected! But, what John (prodata) says above is correct, the console 'does' automatically exit set up mode. I've had my console for about 6 years and it has done this with all firmware revisions. Duke - I wasn't quite sure what point you were making with regar...

Re: VP2 coming out of setup mode on its own
I had this same problem the other day when replacing the rain collector reed switch. See: http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index.php?topic=54591.new;topicseen#new Having just Google'd the issue I found this thread so have decided to add my bit to it. I contacted Davis and received this reply: Dear S...

Re: Corrupt rain data after power failure
Thanks Steve. I appreciate the prompt response
We had another power failure in the early hours but this time I was able to shutdown Cumulus gracefully before the UPS ran out.

Re: Corrupt rain data after power failure
Hi Steve Diags folder as requested. I'll also look at the FAQ. My profile is correct I have a Davis Pro2, not sure how my post ended up in the Oregon Scientific section. Clearly carelessness on my part. Sorry  The power failure didn't affect the console as that is plugged into a UPS, unfortuna...

Corrupt rain data after power failure
We've had several power failures in quick succession here today and I've just noticed that the rain data is wrong. We've not had any rain today yet Cumulus is reporting 24.1mm today with a time around the power cuts. I've attached 2 screen snippets of the above but haven't included any other file al...

Re: Longest dry period discrepancy
Hi Steve
That's fair enough. I realise you can't please all the people all the time but thanks for taking the time to look at it and explain things.
Regards

Re: Longest dry period discrepancy
I see what you are saying but if I was someone from outside the UK (I've also had a UK friend query this, hence my post), I could see that there have been 0 dry days up to 01 January (for the year and month) but I would also want to know if there have been any dry days since then up to the current/p...

Re: Longest dry period discrepancy
Hi Steve I realise that we haven't had a dry period this month/year so far but the 0 days shown in thismonth and thisyear give the date to 01 January which is only one day whereas I'd have thought the date for this month/year should be shown as at least the previous day (10 January for today the 11t...

Longest dry period discrepancy
Hi. I'm fairly new to Cumulus having only been using it since November 2015. I moved to it from WeatherLink because I found it more 'user-friendly', more information available about its workings and generally an all round better package. I did search the forum before registering and logging in but c...
