Cumulus not uploading data to Weather Underground

For some reason, Cumulus suddenly stopped uploading to WU, and the last upload was about 25 minutes ago as of this post. The FTP log says WU Response Code: 200 Response = INVALIDPASSWORDID|Password or key and/or id are incorrect EDIT: I think this is an issue with WU, rather than Cumulus. For some r...

Re: How do you actually upload files (Files tab)

I tried every possible thing I can think of.

ftp://ftp.servername.com/folder/file.ext

http://www.servername.com/folder/file.exe

folder/file.exe

None of these seem to work. And no, I'm not literally typing "servername.com" those are just examples.

How do you actually upload files (Files tab)

At least to me. Can someone actually explain what I'm supposed to actually supposed to type I'm trying to get Cumulus to upload an XML file to the file server that my Cumulus site is on. No matter what I type under "Remote Filename", it never actually uploads. Do I put the website URL, e.g. http://w...

Re: High hourly rain

I understand that when calculating it, in real time, it simply takes the reading from one hour ago, and works out the difference. Or at least something like that. It makes a bit of sense how it wouldn't be able to recalculate it now, since, if it's, for example 2:31 pm now, but there wasn't any log ...

High hourly rain

I have recently had erroneous readings that required me to edit data in the monthly logs The readings also affected the 'records'. I deleted the dayfile.txt entries which contained extremes that were affected by the erroneous readings, and had cumulus recreate them from the monthly logs. My question...

Is this a heatburst?

The temperature, dew point, wind, and humidity readings that my station somehow recorded were (over a 10 minute period): 00:07 = 17.5C, 9.2C, 1.4 mph, 58% 00:08 = 18.0C, 9.1C, 1.7 mph, 56% 00:09 = 18.2C, 9.0C, 2.0 mph, 55% 00:10 = 18.3C, 9.1C, 2.1 mph, 55% 00:11 = 18.3C, 9.1C, 2.1 mph, 55% 00:12 = 1...

Re: Weather Underground to Cumulus

It'd still be nice if you could manually create partial Monthly logs, and have Cumulus automatically calculate apparent temperature, heat index, windchill, etc, from the humidity, temperature, and windspeed values.

Re: Weather Underground to Cumulus

How would that help with calculating heat index or wind chill, etc?

Re: Weather Underground to Cumulus

That doesn't really help. That assumes that you already have existing Monthly log files that you wish to use to create missing dayfile.txt entries. What I meant was creating the monthly logs themselves. That is, using historic data from Wunderground, and inserting this into an Excel spreadsheet in t...

Re: Weather Underground to Cumulus

Yeah... this is not working. The formulas are going to end up looking messed up.... and that's if I can even work out what to type in the first place The "apparent temperature" is easy. It's the heat index, and wind chill that I can't seem to get working. The heat index, is the most complex of all o...

Weather Underground to Cumulus

I've seen a few old topics on here about uploading historic data to Weather Underground, however, this is the opposite. I have some data that was uploaded to Weather Underground before having to wipe the data from Cumulus. Can I simply manually use Excel to download the Wunderground data, rearrange ...

Re: Fine-Offset WH-1080 Clear Data

Of course, the time before any data is overwritten, depends on the interval you have set the data to log for. By default, it is 30 minutes. IIRC, most Fine Offsets record something like 4080 readings. 30 minute intervals means your data is kept for almost 3 months. Personally, I have mine set to log...

Re: increase accuracy of fine offset rain tipper

I've always found that the 0.3 mm in 5 minutes can be either too high when it's not raining much, but too low when it's torrential. For example, if the actual rain over a 10 minute period goes up like this: 0.0 0.0 0.1 0.2 0.2 0.3 0.3 0.4 0.6 0.8 0.9 A Fine Offset rain gauge would record it like thi...

Re: Modifying dayfile.txt after switching rollover to 9 am?

I'm assuming that when the clocks go backwards, if I stopped Cumulus at 22:45 on 24th October, and then set the time in today.ini to 21:45 the next day, the data that happened from 22:45 up to 02:00 would have the timestamps of 21:45 to 01:00? So I'd just need to add one hour to those times, so that...

Re: Modifying dayfile.txt after switching rollover to 9 am?

Can anyone tell me if I'm doing this right? I know that when DST starts or ends, if Cumulus isn't running during that time, it will either duplicate, or have a gap in the hour at the time Cumulus was last running. However, what I did for the 28/03/15 and 29/03/15 data, was remove the duplicated data...
