Re: CMX "Changes you made may not be saved." Pop-up

The Wiki http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Simple_Website_setup#Cumulus_MX mentions how to get and install latest version of jQuery Thanks @sfws! I typically don't think to use the Wiki because it seemed like there hadn't been any recent changed (last time I looked). But it looks like you've been making...

Re: CMX "Changes you made may not be saved." Pop-up

Still poking around, but based on https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39898072/why-does-chrome-display-the-pop-up-warning-changes-you-made-may-not-have-been I looked for files containing " beforeunload ": $ grep -lr "beforeunload" * interface/lib/jquery/jquery-latest.min.js interface/lib/datatables/...

Re: CMX "Changes you made may not be saved." Pop-up

It's not something that MX does itself... Thanks Steve! That was my inclination when I couldn't find the message text or any significant substrings across the CMX files. I started to Google it and found a few things but haven't dug into them yet. I'll post, of course, if I figure something out... H...

CMX "Changes you made may not be saved." Pop-up

Anyone run into a " sticky " " Changes you made may not be saved ." pop-up on the local CMX dashboard (site)? I've had it for maybe a week now, every time I navigate off one of the pages for the "site.". I'm not sure if it's a browser glitch and I'm not very Java literate to debug it. I didn't find ...

Re: Wh1080 weather station not working

You are working OK with mono v 3.2.8 and a Fine Offset station?

(I'm struggling to get Stretch Lite working to replace a Jessie Full install.)

Re: pre made raspberry pi - Cumulus mx img

I'm trying to find a version of mono to use with Stretch Lite. So far I've not found one that will find my usb-connected fine offset PWS when I start CumulusMX. I've done a number of installs of a clean Stretch and considered imaging the sd card without mono so I could easily get back to that point....

Re: https://www.pwsweather.com Uploads Stopped

PWSWeather is generally very reliable to upload to but recently have seen periodic missed uploads from my WiFiLogger setup ... Paul! Based on 1 data point I can't say for certain that it was CMX at all. PWS had gotten no data for about a week, while CMX had been up steady for 2. Because CMX starts ...

Re: https://www.pwsweather.com Uploads Stopped

it will be WU. their service is atrocious. Hey Simon- WU continues to be a problem for me too. I'm still uploading there, but my webcam hasn't worked in months and CMX goes through long stretches of the System.Net.WebConnection... exceptions. The past few days I've seen quite a few ... but uploads ...

https://www.pwsweather.com Uploads Stopped

I noticed today that from looking at the data on https://www.pwsweather.com/obs/RADILLY.html for my PWS - that CMX stopped uploading data about 5 days ago - 30 May about midday. CMX had been up for a little over 11 days ... so about half way through the period. I turned data logging on (after confir...

Re: WeatherCloud update: The Task was canceled

I've had this issue for about two weeks 2018-01-23 22:50:21.867 WeatherCloud update: An error occurred while sending the request. 2018-01-24 00:01:40.654 WeatherCloud update: A task was canceled. Log files are full of those. I've not seen the first of those yet. In the other thread I mention in the...

Re: WeatherCloud update: The Task was canceled

I take it your using a good source for ntp? you have the correct time on your system? I point most of my servers and devices to uk.pool.ntp.org I've not changed from the defaults, *.debian.pool.ntp.org. Anecdotally I know it tracks much closer than my PC. I fiddled with the PC a little to improve i...

Re: WeatherCloud update: The Task was canceled

OK - Some ping results... I let this run over 10 minutes just to see if there'd be a spike somewhere. There wasn't. I would say the average was roughly around 150 ms, and the variance on the order of a couple of ms. 64 bytes from weathercloud.net (188.164.192.31): icmp_seq=240 ttl=53 time=150 ms Wea...

Re: WeatherCloud update: The Task was canceled

DNS issue perhaps? just guessing. seems a rather strange occurance from your system if now two websites are having the same issue of uploading data to the internet. any heavy net use on your network affecting throughput or bad LAN cables? I'm just thinking out loud. can you ping WU api and weatherc...

Re: WeatherCloud update: The Task was canceled

Here's a little speculation... Having done a little work in asynchronous communications, it occurred to me that the fact that WeatherCloud states that the upload frequency is fixed at 10 minutes , it is very likely they have created a (uneven) loading problem for themselves. Cumulus appears to be ve...

Re: WU update: The Task was canceled

OK ... I started a new thread, WeatherCloud update: The Task was canceled because I had some more observations I wanted to share.

Spoiler ... the timing seems to have changed a little as of this morning.
