Re: Vantage Vue ISS Battery Choice

Thank you dazza and Paul,

Seems like Duracell it is then.

No official mains supply for the Vue, just thought that someone might have 'hacked' it to work by unofficial methods ;)

Vantage Vue ISS Battery Choice

What brand of battery are folks preferring, for the station not the console, as I'm getting the 'Low Battery' warning and no nighttime data symptoms. And has anyone adapted one to run on mains power? I realise that any warranty would be voided if you used a non-approved method of power. I was thinki...

Weatherspares: Spare Parts Recommendation

Hope it's allowed, but just a quick heads up for a well priced company staffed by human beings who keep in touch and let you know what's happening. Ordered a new wind direction cartridge for my Vantage Vue, best price on the internet I could find. I even got emails posted before 7am updating me on t...

Re: Vantage Vue Console for sale

Thanks for that. Not a bad price but more than I can justify spending just now.

Cheers.

Re: Vantage Vue Console for sale

Do you have a price in mind? My Vue is starting to show it's age and I'm thinking of replacing it.

Re: Portugal

Windy? Don't know what you're speaking about! Flat calm and 10-11 degrees, positively tropical 8-) although I do hear we're gonna get a blow about Christmas day. Still, it'll cool the Ba players down a wee bit :D

Would prefer the Portugal climate though.

Re: Vantage Vue Is Goosed! Probably.

Many thanks JoeBOB for reminding me about the manual! I downloaded it when I first got the Vue and used it to set it up and promptly forgot all about it! Been away this week and just managed a look at the console and had a look at the trouble shooting section. It was (quite) a bit above me, and I di...

Re: Vantage Vue Is Goosed! Probably.

Hi there, according to the code on the back of the console it was manufactured in 2010 so it's had a good innings especially with the battering it can get up here! It's kinda annoying that it's only the wind side of it that doesn't seem to be working as it's that part of it that is more interesting ...

Vantage Vue Is Goosed! Probably.

Looks like my Vantage Vue has reached/is reaching the end of it's economical working life! Wind direction has been static for the last year or so and recently the weed speed has mostly been showing as zero with occasional bursts of showing some movement. I've taken the Vue inside and taken it apart,...

Re: Vantage Vue Wind Direction Doesn't Alter

Hi Steve, thank you for speedy reply and apologies for my slow one!

Wind speed is showing fine on the console but no direction is showing, which points to either a console or weather station problem NOT a Cumulus one. Sorry for being a numpty!

Vantage Vue Wind Direction Doesn't Alter

I can't seem to find an answer here for my problem so apologies if it's been covered before.

The wind vane on my Vue turns freely but doesn't seem to change position in Cumulus ie it seems stuck at 7 degrees no matter which way the vane is pointing :?

Is this a common problem?
