Hi All I've had this same VP not woken problem for the longest time. i was looking into the above power management options in device manager but they don't exist in my version of windows 10. however if you goto the power options and advanced power options you can get to the setting for "USB sel...

Cumulux MX Davis VP2 live realtime download from Extra sensors
HI All I'm wondering if it's possible to get "Live" values off the DavisVP2+ when logging with CumuluxMX. Specifically i'm after the leaf wetness sensor in my extra sensors file. I only log every 5 min so that if cumulus crashes i don't loose data too quickly (1 min log interval means i on...

Re: Data Input Appears to Have Stopped - Davis VantagePro2 with a USB connection
Mark,
Interesting, does this custom log need to contain all weather variables or just the extra sensor variable? Is there a description in the wiki? I tried to find details but haven't found anything yet.
cheers

Re: Data Input Appears to Have Stopped - Davis VantagePro2 with a USB connection
Hi All So i installed the newer cumulusmx version, 3215 . That seems to have fixed the problem. I've left the install directory in Users folder for the time being. I did note that MS Edge wasn't able to load the settings webpage, i had to use firefox. I ran the wizard, those location settings were s...

Re: Data Input Appears to Have Stopped - Davis VantagePro2 with a USB connection
Hi Guys I've visited the station, i switched it over to the physical serial port (com1) but the same behavior occurs. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that i've got an extra leaf wetness sensor installed on the Davis VP2+. The main issue appears to be 2022-11-23 20:57:49.727 Sen...

Re: Data Input Appears to Have Stopped - Davis VantagePro2 with a USB connection
Hi All I'm having a similar problem with my Davis VP2+ (+leaf wetness) which is connected via the serial cable into a usb-serial adapter. The Davis program is able to remain connected but when i run cumulusMX (with weatherlink shut down) i end up finding the station stops updating due to 2022-11-08 ...

Re: CumulusMX dashboard password protect
thanks, i just moved the settings interface files out of the interface directory. Not the best solution but it'll have to do. Will probably need to lock my IP down to a private network,

Re: CumulusMX dashboard password protect
No i'm not talking about people having access to the computer but the network its connected to. Anyone on the network can type in the IP:port of the cumulusMX website and then alter the settings etc. Not a problem if you run this at home on your small 4 port router with your family. More risky when ...

CumulusMX dashboard password protect
Hi All
I run my Davis VP2+ at work on a large network. My systems admin is worried that everyone can see the CumulusMX dashboard and hence change the settings, mess with SQL server etc. Is there a way to password protect the dashboard?
thanks

UTC Trend offset
Hi, I've setup CumulusMX and my trends page, http://www.atmosp.physics.utoronto.ca/wstat/trends.htm, has a offset. The computer/station that logs the data is set to UTC time but the location of the station is Toronto. The theoretical solar value shows a 12hr offset from our solar rad data, Is this r...

Re: Porting website to server? Removing settings/edit
Thanks Steve
My issue was i hadn't actually setup the Settings-->Internet Settings-->Web FTP Settings . If i recall i had to check the auto update box and set the interval. Then the htm files were created and like you said i just copied them to the server.
cheers
