Re: RaspberryPi: CumulusMX init.d System Startup Script

Hello

have you checked if the cumulusmx script is executable
sudo chmod +x /etc/init.d/cumulusmx

or have you made the needed changes in the top of this file to modify the path to the Cumulus Folder

CumulusMX_HOME=/CumulusMX
CumulusMX_USER=pi
NAME=CumulusMX
PIDFILE=/tmp/$NAME.pid

Re: CumulusMX - RaspberyPi - Start|Stop|Restart Script V2.5.5.0

So I've been logging into the pi, starting screen then doing a sudo mono cumulusmx.exe... Some times CumulusMX will error out and throw an exception which mono keeps running until you hit ctrl c to close it out. Will this script address any crashes like this and restart cumulus? What you are lookin...

Re: CumulusMX - RaspberyPi - Start|Stop|Restart Script V2.5.5.0

Hello, looks like pgrep isn't working on your Raspberry (as expected) can you check: pgrep -v pgrep -ia mono pgrep -ia cron and also pgrep -v mono did you see many PID's (don'tpaste them here....a simple yes/no would be enough :-) I assume the command: pidof mono is showing the correct PID ? If the ...

Re: CumulusMX - RaspberyPi - Start|Stop|Restart Script V2.5.5.0

Hello to all, I have a small problem, which in the end is only an "aesthetic" fact, with the latest version of raspbian the PID number does not appear in the statistics screen. thats strange.....the PID is the process ID of MONO and the command to get the PID is very simple MONOPID=$(pgrep mono && ...

Re: CumulusMX - RaspberyPi - Start|Stop|Restart Script V2.5.5.0

Yes, the above things are similar to the things the Start|Stop Script is doing, but the script offers a lot more more things (./cumulusmx.sh -h). As far as I remember the "@reboot" does not work anymore in Debian Jessie and above ...... But anyway .....only with CRON entries it is also possible to u...

Re: CumulusMX - RaspberyPi - Start|Stop|Restart Script V2.5.5.0

Anyone out there let me know what to do??thnx Hello, at least reading the first post of this topic might help and should be the basics for more questions about this. In short words: You can use the Linux program called "screen" to start CumulusMX and move it into the background and logout form the ...

RaspberyPi with CumulusMX - System Uptime

In the past weeks, I lost my weatherstation out of my mind because of a few other things I had to do but today, I need to check my system and I was totally surprised. Please look at this screenshot: Cumulus_Uptime.jpg Unfortunatley, just before I made this screenshot, I had to restart the cumulus so...

Re: CumulusMX - RaspberyPi - Start|Stop|Restart Script V2.5.5.0

To answer my last post a bit. I just noticed that my new router is connceted via IPv6 and IPv4 is only set through DS-Lite. This seems to be the reason that the error is thrown up. But everything works fine... I will Look at this this Weekend, if it is possible to surpress IPv6 Output. I also have ...

Re: Cumulus on a Samba share - no autostart with start stop skript

As far as I remember I made this option because for any reason the cron entry "@reboot" does not work anymore. Someone had CumulusMX installed on a USB drive but it was mounted after the init.d Sctipt was executed with the result, that CumuluxMX could not be started. For this reason, I made the opti...

Re: Cumulus on a Samba share - no autostart with start stop skript

Hello the cumulusMX Start Stop Script is able to handle such conditions. Some month ago, one had a problem running cumulusmx.sh when installed on a USB Drive which was also not mounted at system boot. PLease check this: http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=13767&start=150 Or a more inpro...

Re: error SocketException Address already in use

Novy.....the way you are using it now is the best way.
As Steve wrote, use the "dark interface" which is only for non public to configure CumulusMX and your weatherstation.
FTP the generated files into another folder and point your Apache to publish them for the inernet users.

Re: CumulusMX - RaspberyPi - Start|Stop|Restart Script V2.5.5.0

Sionce I have not tested it yet, I can not say anything. But, the problem between Debian Jessie and Stretch was not a problem with the bash script, only the output of one command was different (ifconfig) And as long they do not change commands, I am sure, everything will work also with the next OS u...

Re: error SocketException Address already in use

Now I understand what you are doing and why you have apache installed on Raspberry. In another forum post you asked the quesiton if it is possible to use the Raspberry as the CumulusMX Weather station and also punblishing the Webnpages which are created by CumulusMX for the visitors. CumulusMX is ma...
