Re: WH3081 has stopped receiving readings, but UV & solar still work
Also, beware that I don't believe the WH2950 is compatible with Cumulus, or even has any PC interface capability. Good point. I didn't even think of that, but to be honest, Cumulus seems to be a bit of a dead project for now, so I'm not too worried. perhaps you should at least take a look at the We...

Re: WH3081 has stopped receiving readings, but UV & solar still work
Ah yes, I didn't think to look for spare parts. Seems to be plenty around, except when looking for the transmitter. I went and had a look at mine. Inside there is a green sticker with "PASS 18B" on it, which is inline with some of the listings on eBay with model numbers. There is a seller ...

Re: WH3081 has stopped receiving readings, but UV & solar still work
Interesting about the 2 separate controllers. That would explain why some data is coming through. I swapped the batteries with some normal Energizer AA's and the problem is still there, so it's not a battery issue. Maybe it's time to look for a new weather station, or maybe just the transmitter if t...

WH3081 has stopped receiving readings, but UV & solar still work
My WH3081 has been working fine for the last few years. Every now and then I get the USB lockup and have to reset the console, but the last few weeks I've noticed that no data is being received from outside for the wind, rain, temp and humidity. The strange thing is that UV and solar are working fin...

Re: RaspberryPi at boot gives Weather Underground 0 reading for temp and others
All good buddy. I hope you are not too busy that Cumulus become abandonware (Looking at the date of the last build). That would be very sad. This is such a great tool. Anyway, disabling rapid fire seems to have fixed it for now. I'll keep an eye out. I had to reboot my pi and it didn't give fa...

Re: RaspberryPi at boot gives Weather Underground 0 reading for temp and others
Thanks Steve for your reply. I guess I missed seeing that entry. I do indeed have rapid fire turned on. Looks like it might be the issue. I'll have to do some more testing. I only picked this up today when I moved the weather station console from my old server to the pi, then again when I moved the ...

RaspberryPi at boot gives Weather Underground 0 reading for temp and others
Hi guys, I've just moved my weather station across from my Win10 install of v1.9.4 to MX on a RaspberryPi 3. I'm very happy with this setup and at how easy it was to install considering how very little Linux experience I have with Bash. Moving on, I have everything up and running, CumulusMX starts a...

Re: Cumulus reading wrong wind values from WH3081?
Thanks for that. I must have totally missed that when looking there.
So basically, it comes down to how Cumulus and FO do things. I've only just noticed this, but guess it's always been like it.
Now that I have this sorted it might be time to look into MX now.

Cumulus reading wrong wind values from WH3081?
Hi Guys, This is my first post here. Been lurking around for about a year, and got myself a cheapo (Limited funds) weather station last May. Anyway, I've just noticed that the value for wind speed on my console is different to the value for wind speed in Cumulus, as well as wind gust. Cumulus seems ...
