Hi, Cumulus MX (v3.0.0 (3038)) on my Pi has suddenly gone a bit haywire for wind direction. The average bearing seems to be okay, but the bearings swing wildy between set compass points. See attached for detail. Rebooted Pi, rebooted indoor unit, next to reboot is outdoor unit when I get up onto the...

Re: Confused about CumulusMX and web server on same Raspberr
Hi guys, Took a while but I've got MX running on the Pi3 with local webserver ( http://ngaioweather.ddns.net ) Key things to note: 1. Read the MX and announcements page ( https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12908 ) 2. Read the website set up instructions page ( http://wiki.sandays...

Re: Confused about CumulusMX and web server on same Raspberr
I was testing them out independently. NginX is reportedly lighter and a bit faster than Apache.
Note sudo apt-get remove nginx leaves data behind whereas sudo apt-get purge nginx gets rid of everything
Thanks

Re: Confused about CumulusMX and web server on same Raspberr
Got it working. Did a complete purge of NginX and Apache, then reloaded Apache. Changed owner of var/www/html to mx and set it to 777. Probably overkill but it's working now which is all that matters. Hey Steve - my bad about the instructions being wrong in the Wiki. I was just me being a dick and r...

Re: Confused about CumulusMX and web server on same Raspberr
Hi Phil, Thanks for the prompt response The default :8998 looks to be working fine. Likewise, browsing to :80 brings up the default Apache pages. I have followed the Wiki instruction (http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Simple_Website_setup) plus a few tweaks as it is wrong in places (doesn't mention dropp...

Re: Confused about CumulusMX and web server on same Raspberr
Hi guys, Have got a Pi3 running with Cumulus MX after my laptop died. This was Win 7 with Cumulus 1 and had no issues with XAMMP LAMP and using as a web server. Cumulus MX running well and I am updating Met Office WOW and Wunderground, but am having real problems hosting my webserver locally on the ...
