Excellent, now totally clear.
Thanks again Mark

Re: Davis Airlink and Meteo-Pi
Thank you Mark for the reply. From what I was reading it seemed that the only way to 'strip' data from the AirLink monitor was to access the Davis cloud which in turn would need to register an account with Davis and use their software. If you are saying that the Airlink data can be interrogated dire...

Davis Airlink and Meteo-Pi
Good Morning, I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 plus system linked to a Raspberry Pi with a meteo-Pi logger. The complete assembly is running CumulusMX to a web server. My question, can I link a Davis AirLink monitor into my setup without the need for weatherlink? I can't find any suggestion that this is ...

Re: Instromet datalogger
Hi I am not sure what you actually wanted to see Rob but the website I run, using a RPi Zero and CumulusMX is located at www.dymchurchweather.co.uk. The sunshine is shown on the Index page and the cumuluative data on the Charts Sunshine hours page. As you probably know the sunshine sensor compares t...

Re: Instromet datalogger
Hi I have been running an Instromet weather system for many years now and after the 'decline' of the Instromet software moved over to Cumulus and then CumulusMX. I have the full Instromet instrumentation but replaced their humdity wet/dry system with another manufacturer. I use their sunshine module...

Re: Decimal places barometer VP2
Interestingly my webpage with an Instromet data logging system shows 1 decimal place on pressure in mb.
My identical set up with a Davis Vantage Pro2 logging sytem does show 2 decimal places on pressure in mb!

Re: Davis anemometer transmitter problems
Freddie I think you said that the transmitter in use was solely for Windspeed/direction. With what has been said so far it could be a supercapacitor on its way out. With a few more electronic bits and pieces the solar panel, battery and supecap will all be in a parallel configuration. The electronic...

Re: Davis anemometer transmitter problems
Hi Freddie I am no expert on the Davis system as I am, at present, running an Instromet unit. However I have just purchased a Davis Wireless set-up and a Windspeed solar transmitter was part of my kit. From what I have read a 'fully' populated ISS solar unit can run with no sunlight for 8 months on ...

Re: Instromet logger and MX version 3047
I seem to remember asking Instromet this many yerars ago and being told that the memory could not be easily reset. The only way of resetting things was to use the WRST command to move read/write pointers around. I presume that the EEPROM could be reset but would probbaly require the manuafacturer to...

Re: Instromet logger and MX version 3047
Mark an update on this 'funny' I have allowed my logger to store 2200 records after a pointer reset and last night stopped and restarted CumulsMX V3048 (have updated) and the logger took 78 minutes to catch up with historical data. I looked again at MXdiags and again it looks as if it is indeed sitt...

Re: Instromet logger and MX version 3047
Thank you once again for the info. I have, in the past, rewritten the EEPROM read/write pointers back to a zero point using the WRST command in an effort to speed up my Web serving system.. This does indeed speed up the 'delay but as the records build up once gain the delay gradually increases as th...

Re: Instromet logger and MX version 3047
Hi Mark and thanks for the reply. I have been running a few tests between v3043 and v3047 on a spare PI3 and Instromet logger that I have. To be honest I can see no improvement on the 2 variants of CumulusMX as to the speed of 'catch' up. I ran the set up on 3043 and 3047 and got restart times of 10...

Instromet logger and MX version 3047
Mark, I saw that you had uploaded newer versions of MX than the V3043 I have been running successfully for quite a while on Intromet loggers and Raspberry Pi's. This morning I cleared my 'test' logger and Pi of the old 3043 version and downloaded the newer V3047. It seemed to load and start running ...

Re: Rainfall readings wont stop
Hi Jonathan, I too am using CumulusMX, a raspberry Pi MK3 and an Instromet logger and at present, all seems to work well. The Instromet rain gauge as you know measures to a resolution of 0.01mm as it counts rain 'drops' as they pass through a photo optic cell arrangement. I have in the past had a co...

Re: Raspberry Pi, and an Instromet logger - USB/ serial adaptor
Steve as it has rained today I have checked the Last Rainfall and it is indeed now working in MXversion 3041. The only parameter that seems to be questionable is the Rainfall Rate which always displays 0.0mm/hr. Does this need a similar modification due to the Instromet way of rainfall measurement? ...
