Thanks for that, I did try and write a script but it seemed that my Pi could not run FTP.
Googling found many folk suggesting using everything except FTP, for security reasons, so not much help.
I thought there would be a 'simple' way forward.

Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.
Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024
(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)
Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024
Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Dayfile.txt uploading to a web server via FTP?
Hi, I have spent some time trying to achieve this task and am failing so would like some advice. I am setting up a system using CumulusMX with a Raspberry Pi. All is working so far with a web server successfully displaying data. On my existing set up using a PC/Cumulus 1 I have been using Toolbox to...

Re: where are recording stored?
Many thanks Steve that has sorted it now.
I kept correcting the files but, like the 'Terminator' it kept coming back!

where are recording stored?
I am having occasional hassles with an Instromet logger where data flow is suspect ( not a Cumulus Problem!) When this occurs my weather station web pages sometimes show erroneous values. Most of these I can resolve by correcting any corruptions in the relevant files within Cumulus. I have one that ...

Re: CumulusMX local gauges screen
Sounds like the issue I was experiencing Steve.
Glad it has done it for you I was doubting my sanity.

Re: CumulusMX local gauges screen
Thanks Ron but it seems to work at first and then die on a restart so it must be capable of running the Cumulus display or am I missing something? Which is quite likely. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks Steve it is Epiphany that I am actually 'usin...

CumulusMX local gauges screen
I have been trying to get some experience with MX. I bought a Maplin/Fine Offset to act as a data source. After setting things up I have managed to get the system running on A RaspberryPi 2 with uploading to a web server so far so good. When I then went to the local browser using the local ip addres...

Re: Monitoring data flow between Cumulus and an Instromet lo
Interesting suggestion Steve as I have been looking at but failing to find a way to reset the Data store to a reset/zero state. If I can't do it by looking at data sheets for the chip I will try and sound out Instromet on a method that is practical without damaging the rest of the board. I have, out...

Re: Monitoring data flow between Cumulus and an Instromet lo
Many thanks once again Steve and yes I can confirm that after your last recommendation I did indeed load version 1100. I wanted to try and sort this query out by looking at the data flow as I am highly suspicious of the logger I/O rather than the Software. The 'crash' was on the 13th of July which a...

Monitoring data flow between Cumulus and an Instromet logger
I, like a few others, am having occasional problems with Cumulus and my Instromet logger. Like a recent forum member I have had 'faulty' boards which have been returned to the manufacturer for replacement and at the time seemed to correct the problem but subsequently my slow/none transfer of data re...

Re: Instromet data logger download problem
Thanks for spending time on this Steve especially when you are involved doing so many other tasks. If Cumulus is working happily it may be something to do with the Instromet logger but that is a probably a much harder thing to diagnose. Maybe I should see how CumulusMx handles an Instromet as a poss...

Re: Instromet data logger download problem
Many thanks for that Steve. I did download version 1099 but it did exactly the same, long delays between firing up Cumulus and the actual program running. I then downloaded the Instromet 'special' version but unfortunately that too takes approximately 2 hours from Cumulus run command to actually dow...
