Re: PHP web viewer for NOAA reports-Problem
Thanks for the reply. Of course you are the xpert on what Cumulus does. I have no recollection of having done anything other than configure the NOAA elements as shown in the screenshot, so I must assume that I did something and will need to delve into it. The strange thing is why it has gone belly-u...

PHP web viewer for NOAA reports-Problem
I have been using the excellent PHP web viewer for NOAA reports for about three years locally without any problems. At the turn of the year I found that Cumulus had stopped writing the files to C:\xampp\htdocs\NOAA-reports. I have made no changes to any configuration files, so I am puzzled by what i...

Re: Top 10 Records Page
top10s.php was in htdocs, not a sub directory.
Editing the script has done the trick. It is all cleaned up after deleting the lines. the insertion of // left the error messages in and showed the // after the error messages.
Thanks all for your patience.

Re: Top 10 Records Page
Sorry, it was not my intention to hijack this this thread. When I run http://localhost/top10s.php in Firefox I get the following errors above the tables: 2014-11-22 11_00_38-Mozilla Firefox.jpg The tables look OK. Below the tables I get 2014-11-22 11_01_40-Mozilla Firefox.jpg What this means is what...

Re: Top 10 Records Page
I am not aware of any errors in the database.
The only thing I have been able to do with the data in the database is to create a couple of queries.

Re: Top 10 Records Page
Thanks for your reply. I am trying to get it working locally on my laptop because I do not have any web space at the moment. I have installed XAMPP, have a batch file that runs from Cumulus each day at rollover time and copies dayfile.txt. I have not worked out how to populate the database automatic...

Re: Top 10 Records Page
For some now I have tried to understand how to implement the Top10 records. I have looked through all the posts so far and cannot find and "idiots guide" which doesn't assume an in depth knowledge of MySQL and PHP.
Can anyone help?

Re: Trouble with Alternative Daily Summary
Thank you very much for the valuable assistance. As soon as I have time I shall download Apache and then I will be in business ! The attraction of your code is that since I do not have any web space I could have number crunching facility that is difficult of-line. Steve - you were not being pedantic...

Re: Trouble with Alternative Daily Summary
Thanks for taking the time to help out. What I did was to download the Alternative Daily Summary6.zip file to my downloads directory. I extracted the files to a directory C:\ Alternative Daily Summary6 and copied: Daily.html ReadDayfile(part_minimised).js Rainfall_rate_key.png Dayfile(test).txt Weat...

Trouble with Alternative Daily Summary
Good Morning, I have been trying hard to use Alternative Daily Summary without success. I am certain that I have followed the instructions in the pdf and all I get is shown in the attached screenshot. Image1.jpg Is the problem with my browser (Firefox 28) or me? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
