If your data gets out of range or stops WU will drop your input until it's stable again.

Re: Davis anemometer cups not moving in light wind
I've had the Davis anemometers for over 20 years now. The only improvement to them over the years is the orientation of the reed switch, there is also a molded in drip edge on the newer wind cups.. For 5 years I used to old Weather Monitor II style on my Vantage Pro 2 station with no problems. Last ...

Re: Vangage Pro II Reed Switch Install
With my CoCoRaHS rain gauge 202 grams equals one inch of rain. It has a 4" opening and that is how I measure the water content of snow.
And the reed switch is just a magnet that acts on a steel contact. Polarity or direction make no difference.

Re: Dayfile.txt Column Headers - Where Are They?
Is there any way to use two lines for each header so you can tell what the header actually says? There already is two color lines as the header.

Re: Pole diameter for Davis Vantage Vue
I mounted my 1" pole on a 14' 4x4. Cut the 4x4 in two and mounted a hinge. The hinge is 3' from the ground. Then use a metal pipe on the opposite side that is clamped in place to keep it upright.
Just remove the pipe and lower the station down.
I have the station so high to clear the corn.

Enter trace for rainfall
I'm part of the CoCoRHaS rainfall network. When entering my daily report they have a way to enter trace amounts of rain or snow, using T. It would be nice to be able to enter this too in Cumulus .

Manual rainfall entry
I manually enter my rainfall every morning around 6 or 7am. I do not use my Davis rain bucket but am a member of the CoCoRHaS network. I usually use the dayfield.txt file to do this. Does entering the amount in the Today or Yesterday box on the main screen also enter it into the dayfield.txt file? I...

Re: UK 2012 Rainfall totals
... As cylinder gauges are generally more accurate (when correctly placed!) than tipping gauges but less convenient for most, are there any others still using cylinders? and I was really interested to read about a US group called CoCoRaHS who use manual cylinders and a set of standard procedures. A...

Re: Weatherlink to Cumulus log converter
I have data from my Davis Weatherlink program that goes back to 1997. I have used the tool to convert that to the Cumulus program. Unfortunately it is corrupted with many extremes. The data since I started using Cumulus is correct. I would like to do the conversion again. What is the best way to eli...

Re: What screen resolution does your Cumulus PC use?
I reduced the screen resolution to 1440x900 and set the DPI to 100%. This allows the header text to wrap into the two rows at the top.

Re: What screen resolution does your Cumulus PC use?
Sorry perhaps I am just being thick but you have the headings at the top of the window and a scroll bar at the bottom so if you just scroll right you will see all data with headings? No scrolling does not do anything for the data headings, it just moves you on to more columns. The data heading spac...

Re: What screen resolution does your Cumulus PC use?
1680 x 1050 at 125% on a 23" screen. The main window fits fine. The dayfile.txt column text does not fit in the cell. Can't really tell what column is what. This I use for rainfall data entry.
